There were some other new people, but I’m terrible with names. At least 5 others.
Games:
Naruto 4
SSBM
KOF 2002, 98, neowave
SF3 Third Strike
MKDD
SC3
It was mostly a Deity night, but he did not run MKDD and SSBM like usual…we had new people that busted him up a bit. Good fun towards the end…I had almost forgotton how much fun SSBM was.
I still say Potemkin’s Necro is sweet…cya next week.:cybot:
Hey Nathan,
Sorry about the lateness of the post regarding the 360.
I just wasn’t sure when this promotion ended i just saw it.
But i was not aware of hte ending date of it
sorry about that
Once again, you lie. It amuses me how you young humans can get soooo delusional. If you knew what you were talking about, then you’d KNOW that NINTENDO didn’t discover that little “snaking” technique. It was discovered by a young gamer that loves the game to death. NINTENDO may have “a guide to do it right on their site”, but it WOULDN’T have been there if that young gamer hadn’t discovered the little glitch. Sorry Ubersaurus, you NEVER defeated me without the use of the little “snaking” glitch. (evil laughs)
Deity is not the only one:
In Mario Kart:Double Dash I was coming in 3rd and 4th place in every track but I came 1st in DK Mountain so I’m not mad at that.In Smash Bros.Melee, the new guy has a “kiss ass” Falco that MY Kirby and Roy can’t face him!!! I’ll give him credit:tup:
In KOF98, I almost defeat The Deity but his “Brain Battler 10 hit combo” save his butt!!
So most of my gameplay was off and I still kick ass as best as I can. FNG was off the hoooook!!!
for real. FNG was great!
I’ma going to raise my Yoshi skills up a bit now, because in 2 minutes, with Toppercool’s Falco out there raising havoc, I need harder hitting moves. Falco’s just too fast – and Toppercool abuses it to death, especially with those ‘opportunist’ kills he takes.
…but I’m not giving up my Ness. oh no, that was TOO much fun causing double PK Flashes with Deity…or the double-baseball-bat swinging moment, where I think we each swung 4 times at each other missing the whole way before the end of the match. funny stuff.
oh…and that was Naruto FOUR? I thought it was part 3. I could be wrong…I just wanna be sure of what game I’m looking for if it comes to the states.
Well, I might as well make my forum entrance. Anyways FNG has been fun, regardless that it was only my second week and my lack of skill in most fighting games. As for the SSBM fights, all I can say that it was well played. For as long as I have been playing it, I must admit that those matches were the funniest by far. Watching PiMac and Deity battle it out kid style while Fury kept interfering and smacking people away. Good stuff. All it needs is a robot character so Robo can get into it…
Actually I enjoyed the game quite a bit when it first came out…and enjoyed some success at the beginning. But then, as always…people go on the internet…find tiers/unbalanced characters and exploit secrets, at that point the game ceased to be…well…as fun. Finding tiers and eploiting stuff on a game isn’t exactly a bad thing…I’m not saying that, its just cheapens it a bit and removes some of the fun factor.
I bet if you dug down into the character you play, learned all you could and stepped your level up a couple notches, it would be fun again. Like when I challenge Ivy to a rematch in Garou. In about 2 years… Bastard.
Your probably right…but what I meant was the game has like 20 chars or so…when people pick tiers and play them exclusively, it becomes a game with about 6 playable characters…u never see the other 14 chars again. To me that subtracts from the fun a bit.
BTW…what happened to you? Weren’t you coming to the last FNG?
I don’t think it’s the tiers much. If it was, then the only characters anyone would play would be Fox, Ganon, Shiek, Luigi, and Marth. It’s probably more a matter of people playing the same set of characters that they really enjoy using, like you and Luigi. Plus you’ve said yourself you don’t play it that much these days, and I’m willing to bet they have. Sides, tiers don’t tend to play a factor when you throw in items and a free for all mode.
Luigi has a few select moves that work really well for him, so if you see me play him, you tend to see the same ones come out over and over. Just how it ends up working.
