Dont defend it you know as well as I do RC wins because its so hard to get around, you dont need SKILL with your characters you just need to know the best move to use with them and practice till your fingers bleed. He held Great Skill with his RC and Characters as a combined whole. were as most of you held 90% RC and 10% skill, 80% RC at BEST. Choy held a perfect blend of 50/50 skill and RC combined. like VDO and his Parry, perfect blend 50/50 skill and parry. It was a GREAT movie IF you take it at face value, if you know anything about Spiderman then you should of seen the STORY LINE mess ups they had. There was at least three.

Doc Oc did not go nuts from talking to his tentacles. He went nuts because of what happened that cause him to be fused to them in the first place it had nothing to do with them speaking to him telling him to be a bad man, then all the sudden he became a good guy, he never was a good guy. HE WAS the lightest in heart criminal Spiderman ever had though.

Harry turned into the Green gob BEFORE he saw who Spiderman was, when he found out who he was, Harry stopped chancing him. The whole reason Harry even became the green gob was to go after Spiderman. When he found out who he was he stopped and helped Spiderman in a few comic books. In the movie they are making it look like the whole reason he even became the green gob was because he knows its peter.

If that was the case Gwen Stacey would have been Peterās girlfriend at the time and the first Goblin would have killed her in the first movie, or should I say she died from the snap back of Spideyās web trying to catch her. And my point was still correct. Choi, Ortiz, Arturo, Wong, and Watts all placed high in ST, 3S, A3, and probably MvC2ā¦ Iām sure they roll cancelled their way to victory in those games. Yup, they won with no skill. Its funny how having no skill seems to prevail.
This is also good in the sense that theyāre making it an original story though. Seeing that this is Stan Leeās creation, and that heās extremely satisfied with how the movie was made, and that he had most creative control over it, you really canāt say that it was done wrong at all. Itās different, itās alternate, itās not just putting something on the screen that we already knew was happening. This is why itās good. Excellent example of another comic (mostly cartoon) conversion was TMNT the movie. I wouldnāt have had those movies any other way (1 and 2 respectively, 3 was alright at best.)
Oh, and sorry Lycan, but all of those people that placed high are skilled. Nothing youāve said defines what skill is, nothing. Skill in the matters of these games are execution, setups, and using everything to your advantage, and destroying an opportunity your opponent has at retaliation. Skill isnāt finishing each game with a super to get ooās and ahhhās, itās not choosing some character that nobody uses and winning because they were the odd man out, skill isnāt any of the things you think they are. Just playing the game, molding yourself to the game and how it plays, and being creative in which ever way you can (hence where most people come up with winning strategies, or discover how to use a character to extreme advantage.) You have a lot to learn about competitive gameplay, even more so than I do.

C_M is right. Those ppl named have skill regardless. RC is simply a tactic used to further insure victory for them. In order for any of us to have a chance at beating them, we have to beat them at their own game, or simply beat their game outright. Those ppl consistently place high in numerous games, year after year. Theyāre good, plain and simple. I remember my fight with Ricky O. in A3. Mirror matched V-Saks. I put up a decent fight, but his ground game was far superior to mine. All the while, the āHello Kittyā plush toy was staring at meā¦
The only ppl who will really complain about a comic movie are the ppl who know the comic storyline, and want to see it. Understand movie studios donāt cater to these ppl. It has to be altered so everyone can enjoy it. Not that I like that, but its just the way it is. For me, if Stan Lee himself OKed the storyline, who the hell am I to argue?

So, ārunning away like a bitchā as you put it was obviously a sucessful tactic that was used against you. So I ask you, Lycan. When you are fighting your opponent, do you not use your characterās strengths to their full potential? Is it your opponent who determines how you fight against him? No, you put him in the most uncomfortable situation possible. It helps you claim victory.
MI as a whole should learn to stop ripping on others fighting tactics, and raise each other to the next 10-15 levels to compete with whats out there. I am aware that I have been guilty of that myself, so take your potshots. It still needs to be done.

Regardless of the storyline which is great to begin wiht Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 which was better than the first is the best comic movie since the first Superman and Batman movie PERIOD. It hold that title regardless of the storyline mix up that we really can live without by how well this story is written. I canāt say enough that whn movies are made they are really fro the movie goers more than the comic fan. Eventhough the turn out would be great still if they stuck to the story they make the moivie for that guy who know whatās going on and for his date/and/or girlfriend who didnāt even know who Peter Parker was until the movie. They do it so they wonāt have to worry about continuity and just tell a story. When you are dealing with a comic movie itās hard to tell one story without having to go back three more stories. I think they are doing an excellent job with this movie and I canāt wait for the 3rd.
The Green Goblin was an intelligent villian, but he was more insane than intelligent. So to answer your question Lycan, yes Harry will be battling within himself as the Goblin. He didnāt do so in the book, but his father did. For them to make him a Villian stick to the story that was made for THE MOVIE. But correct me if Iām wrong Harry went insane in the comic too. Movie wise, for himto know that his best friend is Spider-Man, the man responsible for his fatherās death will add more character depth.
Spidey meets Daffy Duck would be a turn for the worse I think Stan Lee is happy that this story satifies both the reader(except for a few minor gripes that can be overlooked), and the comic fan. I recall Spidey lossing his powers beacuse he was still mutating in the comic andn he got 6 arms until it passed over. I pray they donāt do that.
For the third movie Iād be a little scared if they did this, but it seems like tey are leaning towards the Sinister Six as the villians. Hereās why?

Add two more characters from that roster thatās been in the Sinister Six through time and youāre all set(Kraven, Chameleon, Vulture, Electro, Shocker, Sandman, Rhino). But this would be villian overload and it would destroy the movie. So we may just get the Lizard who was supposed to be the villian in this movie at first and Goblin.
Well that is all. THE MOVIE KICKS ASS. Letās be glad itās not horrible and will become the blueprint for more comic movies to come. Strangley if it wasnāt for the success of the first Blade this would not be possible. But a lot of peopel didnāt even know who Blade was.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE heās playin on standards that are 10 times higher than areās and still manages to get top 5 in the country where all that shit comes from,Prime example on how/why we should be usein shit like RC or KARA-THROWN or CROUCH CANCELLING all of itās effective.

He was seeded in his bracket (so there was only one other top player). I had two other top players. I donāt care about the specifics. But this MWCsā¦ I think I did better than almost everyone from MI in CvS2 (at least in the normal tournament). Iād say that is a decent accomplishment considering I come from shitty ass Ann Arborā¦ not the top level of play like Wizzards.

Yeah, I started reading comics when I was 4(wow 1984). I really got into them around 1990-1998 and Venom was in my generation which the movie tends to focus on. Mysterio is a good villian too though.
