what are untrue about my results? i got 3rd at the cleveland tourney (A LONG TIME AGO), i got 1st at tourney of champions, and i got knocked into losers by floe and eliminated by fubarduck in cvs2 at midwest challenge. thanks. and i have seen your match vids, and i’m not really impressed to be honest.

the one time i played massu in a tourney, i won. and that was like 8 months ago, which is a LOT of time for somebody to get better. and save the shit talk- just show up with some money and we can have our matches. it’s that simple.

that’s fine, i wouldn’t expect my name to come up because i’ve only been to one tourney since i’ve gotten exponentially better (ie tournament of champions at IU, and i got 1st). i’m looking to really prove myself at MWC, even though it’s on arcade cabinets (which i’m not used to at all), and then make an impact at EVO.

since obot64 told me the majority of you guys talking shit aren’t even going to MWC, then you’re pretty much a waste of my time. hopefully i’ll see michigan in force at the next cleveland tourney (july 24th?), then all the shit talkers, and e-thugs, and top players who won’t be at MWC can take me on in money matches and then we’ll see who the real scrub is.

Therein lies the problem: you talk to Obot. The fact is, most of the top players aren’t going to MWC for whatever reason (family, work, etc).

I agree, Ali. Also: Remember, we are dealing with an 18 year old. Plain and simple, he doesn’t have half the training we have, and we don’t even train anymore. Old school his ass, plain and simple.
If he barely beat Massu, I know he ain’t fucking with most of MI. Massu ain’t in the top ten, IMHO. Only reason I say that is his lack of patience, and his inability to adapt to a foreign situation.

Saying you got beat by top players isn’t an indication of how good you are. Beating them is. I got beat by Ricky O at the last MWC I want to (mirror match, V-Sak). Does that line show how good I am? Nope.

who says i’ve been in one tournament? i’ve only been in one tournament since i’ve gotten a whole lot better. i was at evo2k3, midwest challenge, the last cleveland tourney, and the tourney of champions, among others. i would come up to east lansing and play, but it’s like a 5-6 hour drive if i’m not mistaken, which is a pretty long trip in my semi-unreliable car. if i’ve offended MI’s top players, my apologies, i initially came in here with good intentions until people started talking shit.

i would assume that MWC would be kinda important because it’s one of the 3 US majors that’s practically in your backyard in terms of driving distance. so i figured something that close would be attended by the greater majority of top players in this region because it’s convenient.

and the problem of me issuing my challenge AT MWC is that i would like to have a general idea of who i’m going to be playing. and since it was initially supposed to be a 5 on 1, it would sound kinda weird just asking anybody from MI to play me with four of their friends in cvs2 for money without hearing anything about it beforehand on the forums.

and MWC is in less than a week, which is a pretty short time away. of course nobody is going to MWC just to face me, money matches are always something that’s done on the side in addition to the tourneys somebody is entering.

EDIT- yea, the drive up to wizards is 4 hours and 45 minutes according to mapquest. without some type of tourney going on with a pot bonus or some type of extra incentive, it’d be tough to make that kind of a drive in my car.

It’s essentially like this. Yes, MWC is a big tourney, but honestly most people in MI haven’t really been playing any fighters seriously since like MWC 2002. Marvel is dead. A3 and 3s have a few people who play it, but not a whole lot. CvS2 is played, but barely anyone takes it seriously. I know I woulda liked to go to midwest just to meet and play some other players in various games, but for the main tourneys, I’m just not feelin an incentive. That’s one reason I expect a number of people aren’t going.

And it ain’t the michigan forum without the e-thugging, trash talk, and smartass remarks.
