You see, the problem here was we never faced a “GOOD” team. Yeah, last night was not our night, but that was just one time. I can assure you the next visit will be in OUR favor. Team Tomato Fountain hasn’t played that game in a good month, so we really weren’t workin’ our best. Last night, we just got a small slap in the face. The next time, we’ll be fillin your graves!

Yeah, last night was hella fun! Unlike the other groups we played with, we actually got a decent number of matches out of the night. Can’t wait to do it again.
Well, to be fair, any group of people who are designated “red” or “blue” are a team.
But anyway, he’s pretty much right. In 3 years that Halo’s been out, we’ve never played a team that could beat us, and last night, your boys were definitely the better men. I can speak for everyone on our squad that we welcome the challenge wholeheartedly, and that the tournament just got interesting.
Don’t expect us to take it laying down though-the entire trip home was discussing plans and tactics to help us win. So if we end up playing this “whole team” at the tourney, they’ll have to work if they want a victory.
And for the record, when there’s twice as many targets to shoot at then your squad has troops, it’s not particularly hard to get a large numebr of kills. I’ve had matches where I’ve gotten over 30 kills when stuck with the smaller team…there’s not much to brag about there. But the death trap that was the Derelict, oh yeah. I’d smack you if I DIDN’T hear shit talk about that one.
I’m sure they probably meant a cohesive team that is used to playing with each other, and has specific tactics as a group.
It’s only easy to kill more with a handicap when you outclass the opponent. If your team was such badasses it should have been easy to work as a cohesive unit and drop half the targets. There’s half the people to worry about. Though I appreciate that playing to a number is different than playing for time, and with twice as many targets available as the opposing team has, it may be easier to hit a particular number faster; that all still relies on the other team not being able to work as a unit to control their area and the game’s pace.

And Ivy, when you consider those guys have all played with each other is various forms of their teams for over 2 years, even if they don’t regularly team with each other, they know what they’re doing. Most of the 30 kills match was him running in, picking off a guy before getting reamed, and killing him less then half that. If HE was as badass as he claimed, then he woulda been able to drop everyone on the team consistently just by picking them off with guerilla tactics.
True, enough, but when one guy (Calvin) runs “in” and drops 3/4ths of your team when you all see him coming, there is no excuse. Other than you all being outclassed. I honestly take no credit for any wins, as I don’t see myself as that good a player. It should have been a cake walk for you guys…
if he “ran in” and dropped 3/4ths of our team, he would’ve won, without your help. As it was, he was trading kills at best, and at worst, just dying without doing any damage.
