the mvc3 tournament was awful. next time you run an event, please don’t ban unlockable characters, update your game to the latest version that people are actually playing, and download the required dlc characters. i understand it’s a free event but that doesn’t excuse you throwing something so inexcusably sub par. there’s tournament standards for games for a reason – follow them.

and i hear the defense that “well we didn’t know and no one brought it up” a lot – the burden of providing a good event doesn’t lie on the people who you are serving, it lies on the people providing the event in the first place. if you cannot go through the simple length of doing the research required to run a successful tournament, then you should probably just not bother altogether.
