This was my first tournament, and it was fun to hang out with a bunch of people who liked the same game I did.
However, in response to the price discussion going on earlier in the thread, 10 bucks is a bit steep. I basically paid 10 bucks to lose two matches, and I don’t really feel like doing that again every two weeks until I get better…
But all in all, good experience.

I’m gonna try to get some more TV’s open for casuals so it’s more worth the money to new players. If you don’t want to pay that much I’d suggest coming out to some of the casual sessions in Garden City or Ann Arbor. It costs a lot less, but isn’t as competitive.
I’m sort of in the same boat as REZ. I know my fighting games, but I don’t know this game at all. I dropped vanilla real quick because I hated playing everybody in it, meaning everybody’s got a year-plus of experience on me. Playing this shit like it’s ST does NOT pan out for me. Oh well, I’ll be at the casuals.
