Hey man, those things were no joke
No, but they were chasing after a joke.
You gotta learn to let these grudges go, meng. All these feeble pot shots just serve to show that you’re still holding those L’s I gave you close to the chest. Too close :shake:
Regardless, you still need to go turn tricks with the chocobo girls so you can afford some potions
Also that conspiracy theory about MGS5 got my wheels turning
I remember all the theories about MGS3 being Snake using a VR machine to experience Big Boss through his DNA or some shit. I remember arguing vehemently that NO ONE would ever do that kind of story cuz the concept was too out there and ridiculous and retarded.
Then Assassins Creed happened. Well whatever MGS fans beat them to the idea at least hahaha.
A lesson was learned.
Any idea mentioned in the internet is liable to be used down the road.
MGS Story marathon on:
Having seen a full play through of the Ground Zero “demo”, I highly recommend playing Portable Ops before hand, or watching a good YouTube video summarizing the story. Otherwise, things won’t make too much sense, nor will the ending of the Demo have a huge impact on you.
I think you mean Peace Walker. Isn’t Portable Ops mostly ignored by the rest of the series?
TrolzerWolf strikes again.
Well by rest of the series, there’s only 4 and PW, the latter references PO (Kojima didn’t even finalize 4’s story until PO was done) and the latter mentions it in the first cutscene but that’s about it.
Shit, sorry yeah.
Both PSP titles, got them mixed up.
But yeah, Peace Walker is a must in order to get into MGS5. Jumping into MGS5 without playing the game will have you lost for the most part… and yeah, dat ending. No spoilers.
EDIT: It’s strange, looking back at Peace Walker and finding several humorist moments in the game (though, just recently I found out they removed the Tickle Torture in the American version. WTF?). Where is MGS5 is extremely serious through out the game, no humor at all. Kinda strange to see that change of pace.
Portable Ops is a integral part of the MGS storyline since in Portable Ops is the first mention and formation of the Patriots. Also where Big Boss gets the idea for MSF/Outer Heaven.
Niggas be sleeping on Portable Ops.
I am, too
Now that I think about it, I actually never TRULY finished Peace Walker. Need to go do that.
It’s a shame people write off PO too. It’s a legit MGS game, which means that even if it’s not as good as others, it’s still a damn good game. And the boss fights are a trillion times better than all of PWs.
If only they’d port it to a real console I’d be all over it, but I’m not about to pick up a PSP for one game. I remember PW having incredibly awkward controls on PSP and I’m sure its the same with PO.
Portable Ops really isnt that big a deal, I mean Gene was cool but from MGS 3 to PW to MG 1 its pretty much plain sailing lore wise. You wouldnt exactly miss anything by not playing those 2 titles.
no one did and ever will…
