Metal Gear SOLID Thread: Snake? SNAAAAKE!

Lmao
Kojima is dumb.
Playing MGs3 first would just ruin your mgs experience if its your first time through the series.

I disagree.

I would just play the games in the order they’re released.

Would play them backwards to go back in time.

this is the only real way to play it. if you play in order of the story shit is mad confusing

“why cant I do first person view anymore”

YO I GOT 25TH AT CEO

Ehem… Anyway, That collection trailer was amazing. I want.

There was a MGO tourney at CEO?

25th at CEO? congrats!!

i got 13th at FR in MvC2

Spoiler

it was a 15 man tourney Kappa

Trailers of the Patriots

i honestly wish I hadnt played so much MGS from 2001-2010

i just cant play it now in prep of mgsv…its too easy and familiar

I have fears for MGO3.0. I want it to take away all the things that made it clunky and slow (cover system/aiming) in the last
version, but fear they might still be there.

Do you people know how mad-fast I’d jump all over just a graphically updated original MGO? Minus glitches/bugs? Dayum.

~K.

I liked the square blocky movement of the old MGS games. Gave it an arcade feel.

I played mgo1 and mgo2 and to me mgo2 was about as perfect as it gets. other than the random(completely random) post grenade teleport, mgo2 was pretty amazing and I was very comfortable playing it. controls, gameplay, variety was all there.

Variety was there—yeah, but it was far from perfect. FAR.

Overall camera speed too slow. (Needed sliders)
Cover system too slow. (SOCOM4/Uncharted cover system made way more sense, for competitive MP)
FPS camera bug that caused screen tearing and 45 degree angle movement that slowed camera speed to a crawl.

Those are the things that kept pissing me off and kept me from ever trying to completely master the game, like I did with the original.
I’d play the archaic (by today’s standards) original MGO over MGO2.0 anyday.

~K.

Yeah, I’d play MGO1 over 2 anyday.

2 is still good, though.

you know there was camera speed settings? people used what they were comfortable with. I dont think there is anything Id ever wanna complain about mgo2’s control or the system. that and mgo2 had LAYERS of strats and tactics. better players won because they had better strats/map control/use of various weapons/team work. no one “got lucky” on mgo2. you won because you were godlike or you didn’t win. simple as that.

I dont even know what you mean by “cover system”. my cover system was hiding behind walls and various other objects. also its not a FPS game so fps camera wasn’t supposed to be as effective. most people used it do the “dance left and right while shooting”. if I remember correctly, Arkayne often did that shit lol…

I was also an “opportunist” if that makes any sense. like Id let people shoot each then randomly pop out of nowhere and get some kills. I only played wreckless(run and gun) against scrubs/scrubby teams.

MGO1 felt like i was actually playing METAL GEAR ONLINE

MGO2 felt like a completely different game from MGS4

So, you’ve played Max Anarchy before?

More like he was a fgt 0 kill stealing scrub

Get good

^ random nobody post-09er that gets 13th in a 15 people marvel2 tourney…:rofl::rofl:
