Push one of the analogs in i think. Pretty Barbaric shit.
I don’t think I’d ever get used to that. I heard the PS4 controller isn’t going to have analog buttons either. Better hold on to your PS2 or PS3 if you want to keep playing these games.
yeah port AC!D to consoles BUT NO ONLINE PLAY unless they make infinite turn decks impossible.
wish they’d consider releasing mgo1 and mgo2 as standalone ports. niggas still play counter strike to this day. mgo IS that kind of game.
how are we gonna just throw away 15 different maps and 4 years of awesomeness. all I suggesting(to fucking nobody) is that they move the damn server to a more secure network or something to avoid ddos. I am sure it would sell just fine.
Ocelot gesture
that’s why.
Got hype for nothing…
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the METAL GEAR SOLID franchise, this PlayStation®3 exclusive package will include METAL GEAR SOLID, METAL GEAR SOLID 2: HD Edition, METAL GEAR SOLID 3: HD Edition (which includes the original MSX versions of METAL GEAR and METAL GEAR 2), METAL GEAR SOLID: Peace Walker HD Edition, METAL GEAR SOLID: VR MISSIONS and METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Trophy Edition. In addition, the collection will also include two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels.
I wonder if MGS and MGSVR will be DLC codes like the shitty codes (THAT FUCKING EXPIRED) that came with the GoW saga.
If they are, it’s probably going to be the PSOne versions.
NSFW.
even tho that collection is hardly an improvement on the original HD collection, somehow my MGS4 disc doesn’t read properly anymore so I guess I will buy it. i mean, fuck it… I bought Substance, Subsistence, and the HD collection, why not?
if the MGS collection is upscaled, I’m all the fuck over it, honestly… I have MGSHD, MGS4, MGS1, MGSVR… So I technically have all of the games available to play on a single console… But to see MGS in the PC versions’ graphics would be worth it to me. The pixellated look or the “fake upscaled” version with smoothing that the PS3 provides is wack.
the mgs1 dgn was godlike though, and I never got to see the second one. I will be getting this
finally saw all of MGS3…
I so want a game about the Boss now…
We all want that game but either A) Kojima is too dumb/scared to write/create it or B)Because the main character is a woman and not Snake Konami worries that it won’t be the typical MGS smash hit. Like I’ve been tired of spending time playing in the 60s and 70s. I’m tired of the 90s and 2000s+. But a stealth game set during WW2? Hell yeah! Especially if…

Follow a mission structure like Peace Walker. Not as small in size though. As awesome as Boss is I think her whole crew is worth exploring…
-
The game lets you choose your character from the Boss’s squad and you play their campaign. And at different points you link up with other members. I assume that they were all pretty normal before MGS3 but they could all have unique gear that plays to their strengths like The End being a camo god with the best sniping tools along with the parrot to seek out targets or The Fury being the sort of “tank” of the crew complete with a flame thrower or The Sorrow using his powers to “control” enemy soldiers or go out of body to see beyond his line of sight. The Pain I guess would be some kind of explosives expert with bees as his main form of attack.
-
Do this online, like in Resident Evil 6 (one of the few smart things about the game). So play a bit with just your character and then say everyone
needs to infiltrate a building or plan out an assassination the game pulls in other players at the same point online and you work together with them on that section. -
Create a mode full of different types of missions like Ex Ops in Peace Walker but make them all playable with at least 4 people.
MGS6 will take place during WW1 and MGS7 will take place during the colonial days
MGSxAssassins Creed?
The Boss is super popular, at least on this site, and I could’ve sworn that Kojima did say he wanted to do a game on her but set in Normandy.
After watching her reflection on her life before the final battle with future Big Boss, I actually want a game just about her life but we get to actually play through all of her major moments in development of what she would become. Even throw in parts where she trains Young Jack to keep Snake fans interested. It all sounds really interesting and then getting a chance to go back and see the developing rise and fall of her relationship with the Sorrow is just soaked with gaming / cinematic potential.
I think the real question to ask based on how she fights, would her game be better in the hands of FOX or in the hands of Platinum Games?
Personally, I would want a mixture of both companies. A true colaboration and not just a “well, my side is fucking up so, could your side do everything over and save our asses?”. I also finished up watching MGS4 and with all of the CQC and CQB in that game, well at the end, I don’t think the FOX side is a good choice when it comes to the combat which Boss is known for. Yes, she’s not a cyborg but she’s so epic of a character that she would actually shine brighter on the Platinum side then the other. Yet, this would mean either get PG to learn the new FOX ENGINE, which wouldn’t hurt, or keep them using what they use best. If Kojima isn’t being anal about how long the game should be in production then the new engine with PG programers behind the boards with already seasoned employees from Konami working along side them would be my personal choice. It’s a high risk, high reward, IMO.
I also would want to retain as much of Kojima’s vision on The Boss’s backstory as possible BUT I wouldn’t want him to write out the full story. Not at all. A game about Boss gameplay-wise should be at least 9 hours but keep those damn cutcense down to at least 5 hours (that includes codecs) which would be about 14hrs of gaming experience. If Kojima writes everything then it’s going to be the exact opposite but still just as long. Maybe Solid fans would prefer that the most but I doubt it. I rather have longer gameplay and shorten cinema.
This could be a great opportunity to make up for what MGR did and gave the people who still complained about the balance between action and stealth. Plus developers have the proper amount of time to actually finish the game. All of the people who played MGR knows that game was rushed. If PG developed the game from the start it would’ve came out in, like, Holiday season '11 and would’ve been very polished without a crappy camera. I personally wouldn’t mind seeing MGR2 get pushed to the side just so PG could start working on the possible project sooner.
Kojima put this up on twitter, it’s pretty cool.
should get to making movies.
MGS7 will be called Iron Gear Solid.
Steam Locomotive Action
finally saw all of MGS3…
I so want a game about the Boss now…
“Saw?”
You didn’t PLAY it?
Once a busta, always a busta. Ol’ youtube playthru watchin’ ass buttmunkey. Kill yo’self
I don’t have the patients to be a Snake.
I rather burn like the Lightning.
