Best and worst boss fights of the MGS series? I’ve gotta say the Vulcan Raven fight was my favorite his heavy footsteps and breathing were so intense, you just did not even want him to get close to you. After him The Boss, The End and Rex fights were all amazing.

The Boss final fight in MGS3 was my favorite. I had a save state there that I at least replayed 10 times.
All of the B&B Squad and MGS4 Vamp are the worst.
Solidus vs Raiden, Boss vs Snake, Liquid Ocelot vs Old Snake, Psycho Mantis and Ladder were fun bosses.
The Sniper Wolf battle was intense for me… I love sniper duels…
MGS4 had the worst boss fights out of all the MGS games. The only good boss fights were MG Rex vs MG Ray and Old Snake vs Liquid Ocelot.
What if i said mgs2 is my fave mgs by far. Not by a story astethics but from gameplay wise?
Only thing bad about mgs two imo is the naked raiden part, and the escort mission. Fuck that part.
MGS 3 has the best boss fights ever. All the bosses were fun to kill and fun to fight.

mgs4 “bosses” were fucking retarded. bunch of hoes in suits. nothing particularly interesting about them. well except maybe rage just raaaggggging.

I don’t think any of the bosses match up to the og Foxhound of MGS1. It wasn’t an established trope yet. Cobra unit is probably the 2nd best because of interesting boss fights but Foxhound had the best characters.
I did love the waves of nostalgia during the fight with Liquid Ocelot. It gave a sense of finality to the series.

Anyways, MGS1 has the best bosses because you at least get to know the bosses before you fight them. All the bosses had a lot of personality to them. Bosses after MGS1 were just kind of there to be bosses/road blocks. Cobra unit was all right but still lacked personality. MGS3 bosses were fun but were just kind of there (save for The Boss). MGS4 B&B crew were completely devoid of personality and very forgettable.
Decoy Octopuss…we didn’t really hear much on him sadly. Could have been pretty interesting.
All the fan speculations on GZ/TPP are pretty astounding.
