I always did say Metal Gear was a soap opera for men.
MGS suffers from the same problem as the Star Wars prequels, too much retconning and making characters who weren’t meant to be that big a deal into majorly important ones.

Ive downloaded the companion app for GZ on android and its pretty interesting. It accurately follows your progress on its map, shows the positions of enemies and where they comming from, lets you call in chopper support without breaking immersion from the game.
Also there is a PW base building segment to it as well where you train soliders, build tanks etc and do missions for more loot. Worth a look.
I’m guessing the companion app will be updated for TPP? Would be weird having an app for GZ and not TPP

Yeah I’d say the unmanned sentries and gekkos ruin the experience of going back, but still I haven’t found all the flashbacks yet or the easter eggs. There’s a lot.
I’m actually surprised that nobody has made a deal over the fact that Otacon - one of the main heroes of the story - is a weeaboo. Although I suppose his weeaboo status is more on the down low.
