Great interview and he says he is concentrating on MG: Ground Zero so I guess Z.O.E will come out later than expected. He also mentioned that the FOX engine can be tweaked to next gen specs, so I am guessing he is unsure of the release date for this game. I’m not surprised since next gen consoles are estimated to come out in 2013. He also mentions MGS3 being a very important chapter in the series so yeah. 
MGS5: The Legendary Cobra Unit. Summer 2020! I think the reason why Kojima is constantly bringing that up at every event is to see if we( the MG community) would accept a MGS game based around the Boss and her Legendary Cobra Unit. basically, he’s scared it might turn out like MGS2, but this time Konami will get fuck’d in the ass. sigh, this could potentially push back ZOE3 again, but I have a feeling Konami will pass the game on to another studio, and that shit will piss me the fuck off. >:(
Also in that video, Kojima claims the Fox Engine is running on PC hardware that is a little higher than console specs, I think he’s smoking on dat EA.:bluu: Now if any of you have played Crisis on PC and console, you’ll know the console version has hella slow down, yet the game still got good reviews from IGN and other companies alike. I’ve never played BF3 on console so I can’t tell you if it is good or bad on the systems too. Anyway, MGS4 still looks good years later and runs at a stable 30fps. That MGS:GZ trailer was running at higher specs with DX11 features that are not possible on current gen consoles, so right now, I think we will get a shitty first generation Fox Engine console port. :oops:

Yeah I’m pretty sure having this game on current gen hardware would butcher the beautiful graphics we just witnessed. I remember MGS4 being advertised as the complete end to the current story arc, the ending eluded to that as well. I’m hoping people who have grown attached to the characters the past 20+ years can be open minded to a character like The Boss. I said this before and I will say it again…we won’t see ground zero or MGS5 for a minimum of two years. I’m content with rising but it sucks for the close minded folks.

all i know and care about is the fact that MGS3 was a huge disappointment when i played it. after the genius of mgs2 and its cultural relevance (the speech ai campbell makes about the internet being content without context changed my life), for mgs3 to be some lame, non-mind-fuckery game was weak shit.
gameplay is still badass though. and the fury was the best cobra unit member, too bad he was rendered one dimensional as “angry guy from space”
and the crown jewel of the mgs series is and forever will be mgs1

So this is gonna suck for people who have an XBOX 360 in Japan. Long story short, 360 in Japan won’t be getting this game so it shouldn’t screw with people here in the west. I didn’t know 360 was that unpopular in Japan to a point they would cancel that versions release. TBH I think it has more to do with Sega as the publisher since Anarchy Reigns was pushed to 2013 here in the west. When Sega said they were restructuring to save money they weren’t kidding lol.

They stopped selling 360s in Japan and a lot of stores do not carry many 360 games. It’d honestly be a waste of time for them to sell for the 360 over there.
360 never managed to get out of being mostly in last place. It’s had some small spurts here and there but for the most part it has remained a distant 3rd to the other 2 home consoles.
