Well I waited through the 2 or so years of development of conviction and was thoroughly disappointed by the final product so excuse me for not having much faith in ubisoft.
Yeah, he had a legit reason to be worried from the first demo shown on the new Splinter Cell game. They probably should’ve shown the Ghost run alongside the Action run instead of waiting months to show that you don’t have to shoot everyone in front of you.

Ok lets not get off track here, this is the MGS thread first of all, secondly I didn’t like conviction, am I not entitled to my own opinion? The AI was laughable, the mark and execute made the game brain dead, last known position was just silly, and the whole “once Im in darkness I turn into the invisible woman shit” was ridiculous, and the nail in the coffin for me was when they took out spies vs mercs(which they are bringing back in blacklist thankfully). MGS isn’t a pure stealth game, but neither was it stupidly easy like conviction either.
I didn’t like the game at all, you can talk about how its a good game all you want that won’t make me like it anymore, so please let me be for Gods sake. They showed a demo for the sequel of a game I didn’t like and the demo displayed even more of the shit I hated, Im not gonna give that company the benefit of the doubt. In their defense I checked out the new demo and it looks a lot more respectable and a lot less “ill hit one button and kill 4 enemies”, paired with the reintroduction of spies vs mercs and I just might give this new splinter cell a try.
So how about you stop trying to force your opinion down other peoples throats? Had you just come into this thread and told me to check out the shadow gameplay like a cultured individual and not tried to sound like some tough guy this conversation woulda prolly gone a lot smoother. But instead your taking out your obvious frustration at the thousands of people who complained about the different things that they thought were wrong with conviction on me.

This is probably what that mocap actor meant when he said Old Snake was coming back. I don’t expect mocap actors to know shit about the lore of the games they do mocap for unless they’ve been mocapping and VA the same character for years (Eg: Nolan North / Nathan Drake), so I figured he didn’t know what he was talking about when he said Old Snake. I was partially right; it’s another old Snake, but not THE Old Snake. No way Kojima’s bringing him back.
This game is probably about his final field mission before becoming the support-only character we knew in the original Metal Gear.
Wasn’t a fan of Peace Walker’s story (Too much worshiping of The Boss), but I have high hopes for this one. If they wanna push The Boss, she should get her own game with the Cobras. That would be boss as fuck. Pun intended.
lol so we from no MGS for what 5 years to 2 announced back to back, well I haven’t gotten into an MGS in a while so Im looking forward to this.
