I find myself switching to Pincers for the heavier enemies like the robo-tanks or whatever they’re called. Aside for abusing the Sai on Monsoon, I haven’t really used them just yet.<br>

[details=Spoiler]<br>Basically you can otg the cyborg pup with the ninja run into triangle and triangle once again. It’s that slide attack into kick, it ends up dizzying him after 4 or 5 of those. In the second room I purposely get the cyborgs with swords into a parry battle. Funny thing is no one will attack you while this is happening and you can get them into an execution after winning it. The 2nd pup drops down after killing two of those swordsmen. Create distance between the pup and the two hammer dudes and kill it with the same tactic mentioned above. Then use pincer blades the trianglex2 charged attack, it has super armor so you can remove the armor from those two dudes after 3-4 attacks. The final room has the rest of the cyborg dogs, if you want you can exploit the ai. Usually cyborg dogs won’t attack you if you only got one on camera in the corner. It’s that offscreen camera leniency. Or you can run around pillars and attack them once then ninja run and repeat. <br><br>17 is definately the hardest since it’s 7 waves I think? And it’s based on Revengeance difficulty but you have a tiny healthbar. <br><br><blockquote class=“Quote”>

I used the Sai a lot until I got the Piincer. Stunning folks and closing the gap between you and enemies makes you a harder target to hit. And the Pincer, while slow and simple, utterly destroy everything. You can horizontally cut down entire groups of enemies (un armored) with one charged attack. The reach on it is outstanding. <div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Also for people complaining about the way the weapons were handled (like why the Sai is a one trick pony) or why the camera is retarded you have to always keep in mind that this game had a shorter development period and it changed hands from one very different developer to another. I’m sure that in a sequel everything would turn out a lot better.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>
Not had a proper chance to experiment yet, but absolutely loving the flow of combat.<div><br></div><div>Started my first playthrough on Hard. Getting a few S grades here and there, but it’s mainly Bs so far, which I’m putting that down to taking a while to get to grips with parry/dodge. Feel like I’ve got a decent hang of it now, considering I was getting my ass totally handed to me in the prologue/first mission.</div><div><br></div><div>As far as tech goes, are there any moves that knock enemies down? Just thinking that with the NR>heavy attack, we basically have an OTG to play around with. </div><div><br></div><div>Even though the game is sort of based around rushing fools, there’s still decent scope for playing around with combos. Really need to get some time to sink my teeth into it.</div><div><br></div><div>Just from scanning through the last couple pages, there’s already DC, <span style=“font-family: ‘lucida grande’, ‘Lucida Sans Unicode’, tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.7em;”>BMC,</span><span style=“font-family: ‘lucida grande’, ‘Lucida Sans Unicode’, tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.7em;”> </span><span style=“font-family: ‘lucida grande’, ‘Lucida Sans Unicode’, tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.7em;”>dodge offset and OTG. Plenty of tech for only having been out for a week.</span></div>

Not only that but all the reviewers complaining about on the fly switching, they don’t understand that would ultimately break the game. Imagine canceling a sai into pincer lmao? I like the system they have now and probably in the next installment we will get a larger movelist of some sort. <br>

Exactly. I thought about that too at first but with the way the game actually plays we’d just be waaaay too powerful. I also see Raiden always using his sword and the extra weapons being what they are because they aren’t </span><i>his</i> weapons. Sam even mentions how Raiden is self taught anyway so I don’t think he’d be kicking ass with a whip pole like Mistral like that. And really the only sub weapon that needed some more moves is the Sai. Even just a couple of direction presses + T/Triangle is all we needed to give it more umph. <div><br></div><div><br></div><div>If/When a sequel gets made I’d like to see something akin to but not same as Bayonetta’s two weapon/two button system. Like let’s go with how simple the Pincer is now on Y/Triangle and then use the Polewhip on X/Square. Obviously the power of the weapons would be rebalanced but I’d like to mix it up. This would affect blade mode either since he always pulls his sword out anyway. Another thing I would like to see is the use of throwing daggers and auto targeting that works with all the sub weapons when you quick fire them. The quick fire grenade roll is nice but in a game where you are constantly moving around an auto target for sub-weapons would be nice. </div>

<br><div>I thought I would not like the on the fly switching, but they made it work. I don’t think the game needs a that much of a larger moveset. Since Raiden is self taught bad assery with an “effective” killing style, it shows here. While I want it to look good, I really don’t want the same kind of “flash” akin Bayonetta.</div>
