I wanna buy this game. I really do.
But there are no guards…Who am i gonna eff around with now?
I’m going to try my luck at several Wal Marts after the game ships sometime this week to see how stupid the employees are after midnight.
I got this girl to dig through the time sensitive boxes to find me the DMC artbook. And I didnt even get the DMC game.
So dumb.

Seems the game timer is similar to Vanquish or it could be just one act.
</blockquote>
I’m pretty sure it’s the full game because I originally posted it :D! Was from some guy who had a promo copy of the game and posted that screen indicating he beat the game.
</blockquote>
Cutscenes were skipped? Game timer doesn’t count failed attempts? I mean he had a ton of restarts. Still it doesn’t bother me if the game is that short. Vanquish’s game timer worked that way, right?
<blockquote class=“Quote” rel=“Phantom Angel”>Wait a minute… Does the OST come with the Regular Edition Pre-Order or is that just the Limited Edition?</blockquote>
Wal-mart has the OST as a pre order bonus.

Some French review site (I don’t have the link on me, sorry) said the game was around 14 hours, I’m pretty sure. That and if you look closely, you see Sundowner in the background.
I very much doubt it would be 5 hours.

That was a Spanish site that estimated the length of the full game after playing around 4 hours.
PG doesn’t count cutscenes or continues in their game clock, so unless that clock is under 3 hours for a non-speedrun playthrough I don’t think there’s much to worry about. Unskippable codecs (confirmed) or bad checkpointing (possibly) would be a bigger issue because it would hurt replayability. Review embargo goes up on the 19th, unfortunately, though I can’t really think of anything in a review that would be a total deal-breaker and make me cancel my preorder, even if it’s possible I might be disappointed once I get my hands on the game.

The names on the demo RIP music were fan made names and some of the songs were incomplete/unfinished.
Also regarding the timer spoiler
[details=Spoiler]
Looks like there’s a screenshot of the completed time
I’m just going to casually remind everyone the way Vanquish recorded time which was cutscenes, time spent in between acts, and fails/retries were ignored. So you could spend 6-8 hours to complete and the in game clock would say like 3-4 because it only counted the successful acts.
Even then, the completion time is in the right area for these types of action games.
Remember, in Bayonetta you had to get a total time of under 3 hours (total complete time) but average play was like 8-10 complete time. Getting under 3 hours took me like 18 hours to do.
So yeah, that’s my spiel. [/details]

Ugh I hate when action games make a majority of the demo moves unlockable… But that whip attack at the end looks sweet.
PS… Not really liking the new SRK…
I really want to get my preorder in, but I’m waiting for any reports of slowdown before buying on 360 or PS3… especially with what happened with the Bayonetta PS3 port. (If you turn this into a 360 vs PS3 debate I will fucking find you and fucking kill you. This is a legit concern I have.) Has there really been any slowdown reports for either format so far?

I believe the only thing I’ve heard so far regarding differences is the PS3 one having better looking cutscenes and less screen tearing.

Like Vanquish this was developed on PS3 then ported to 360 and that game ran perfectly fine on both systems.
yeah it’s been discussed before. if the full game is anything likt the demo, which is should be based on my own views of demo vs full game in next gen gaming, it’s nothing to worry about.
