So anybody here picked up the MGS HD collection? I was lucky enough to copthe last copy of the LE version today at my local Gamestop and the first thing I did was transfer my PW PSP save and go beasting online in VS Ops. Damn I’m having more fun than I had with MW3.

not playing PW online tho…shit is whack lol…controls mostly and only 3v3…meh
I played so much of this shit I dont even feel like playing anymore. its hilarious when I see people in freebaattle still trying to “aim”. killing fools before they even line up their shots loool…I am so fast now :eek:
Real talk, I got accused of hacking when I solo’d a team of 3 on my own and HS’d them 90% of the time, man I wish I recorded that shit. I’m definitely picking up a Roxio Game Capture device in the near future at a discounted price.

Nope but the MGS HD Collection made it so that you can play others online in VS Ops. Although it’s unfortunately smaller in regards to the stages’ sizes and number of people in a session, it has the “spirit” of the original MGO on the PS2 IMO.
And how come they couldn’t include the original MGO1 in the HD collection? So sad. :sad:
^^ I know man, MGO1 was the *. So much skill required and the levels were bad. I love MGS but MGS4 online is just terrible (IMO) and it lacks the fun factor that was present in the first one.
truly sad news. mgo is shutting down on june12. Id really want all of you to get on and play from time to time. at least around the last month or so. I am gonna host crazy base rooms and play all day until its gone forever. I am thinking about buying another recorded to to get some more footage for achievement purposes.
mgo will be missed. the greatest online shooter ever.

MGO provided with me with some of the best AND worst memories on the PS3. The best obviously being the good times with SRK and other clans but the bad being the excessive glitching to a point where it became normal. If I may, here are two multiplayer shooters that maybe something you can migrate to.
From the creators of the Yakuza series, I am getting this for sure. Most will get it for the single player campaign which looks GDLK but it’s nice the multiplayer looks good. IMO it looks the closest to MGO out of all the TPS coming out. The single player game is like Mass Effect meets Vanquish, that is how I feel anyway.

I also realized this game introduced me to most of you guys so for that I <3 you all.
Sadly I won’t be able to play the final game with you guys cause I gave away MGS4 when I sold my PS3 a year ago, I had no idea I would buy another one lol. Do me a favour and record the final matches.
EDIT: I could buy it again at a super cheap price but I no longer have my expansions and to buy more when it is ending is a waste of money. >_> If you could play on older maps that would be great.

snaaake, i’m down to play BASE… gonna try and get survival this week too. dunno if you guys have seen the mp for ghost recon: future soldier, but it looks really good. you can even scan opponents like on mgo lol.
