I’m not making it racist, the implication of race was already there.
I’m not saying it’s only limited to blacks, we’re arguing two different points. Blacks are already stereotyped in our media as criminals and the idea that it is “Black Culture” that makes them that way, that thinking is what I have a problem with.
Of course don’t show up to a job interview in a coffee/pot stained wife beater, baggy jeans, stolen Jordans and drunk. But at the same time, stereotypes persist and still hold people of color back in this country. A change of clothes can’t stop societal viewpoints of a people.
One can criticize anything. The issue is whether or not your criticism is wrong, based on racism and stereotypes or general ignorance. That and Bill Cosby’s criticisms are the same old “pull your pants up”, not very deep nor does it work to resolve deeper issues affecting the black community in the US.
You only need to look at the bigger picture to see how simple the problem is and how to fix it. Learn from the wisdom of Cosby.
Black people need to stop fucking around, get a grip and stop the bullshit. The only thing that pisses cops of about other races is their need to be different from whites, when the fact is everybody is the same asshole. Accept the superiority of whiteness into your jaded heart and learn from its brilliance.
…looks like there’s gonna be some more outcry soon. One day, these kids are gonna lose it and some asshole will end up with a pencil in their throat. I am not shedding a single tear for the bully when this happens.
Unfortunately, that is what usually happens. The schools and parents sometimes look the other way and the next minute someone gets stabbed 15 times (Jorge Saavedra). A victim of bullying only has so much patience and if the school officials aren’t going to do anything, then the victim may be inclined to take matters into their own hands. In this case, the school could have not even called the girl’s mother and this would have kept going for who knows how long because the mother appeared to be out of touch.
Reminds of 3 of the highschools I went to where, if there was a bully or anyone who tried to start a fight with you, for whatever
reasons, and you defended yourself, you were both expelled for X-amount of days. Even when/if the person defending his/herself
did absolutely nothing to incite the aggression.
I’ve unfortunately been victim of that ridiculous train of thought in older school systems, and seen other students go through the same
shit when they should’ve just been left to finish out the rest of their school day while the other jackasses get the boot.
Sometimes what happens is the bully starts the fight and then the victim ends up getting expelled, the rule that both get expelled is to make sure that the bully is removed.
Luckily when I was still in school I was fortunate enough to have the bully find me and try me at a park where I knew everyone and knew no one would say anything so when the dude tried to punch me I just dodged and gave him the Rock Bottom onto concrete. Dude wouldn’t even look at me next time he would see me at school. I had several bullies when I was younger and the only way to get rid of each one was to just let them know to stop in a way they could understand.
Parents, school, cops, they’re not on your side. No one can help you except you yourself and your friends, but for people that bullied me, I asked my friends not to step in so that the bullies would fully understand that I am not someone they want to bully if they want to live.
