Since when is the classroom a place of privacy?
What about deaf kids, or kids who need recording equipment in class?
I mean, yeah, you aren’t allowed to record the sounds of young girls peeing.
But you’d think if they queefed in class it would be fair game.
I remember going to highschool this girl would queef all the time, at first i though she farted but i was like girls dont fart & there was no smell…She kept on doing it to me & i told my mom about it but she didn’t believe me…If only i had an iphone/ipad back then so i can prove to my mom i wasn’t making it up.
Technically you can’t personally record video or audio when in a public domain without permission. Most of the time it’s not worth the money spent for companies to take it to court.
I thought that applied to private domains? And seeing as it’s a public high school and not a private one, wouldn’t that therefore make it not fall under those rules? Or are rules on stuff like that different down in the States?
I can take two cameras out and record anything I want in public domain at any time. They’re called my fucking EYES.
If you’re putting shit out there on display, I can fucking record whatever the fuck I want. I don’t need to ask you if the fucking light particles bouncing off your ugly face are allowed to impregnate my camera womb with your ugly fucking light-sperm. FUCK you.
These rules are put into place as insurance for situations like this. When the time comes they’ll exercise their right. Some random dude in Walmart or Mcdonalds recording himself doing whatever could be taken to court but nobody has time for that. This case is much more serious. And likely, the only retaliation the school has. I’m not sure about pubic schools but they’d be stupid if they didn’t. Schools have a lot to lose for their communities. I don’t like this scenario as much as the next guy but that’s just what it is. This case will inevitably be settled and forgotten before next semester.
Unfortunately, US schools prohibit unauthorized recording of students by other students. Even in AP/Pre-AP classes, we can’t record a lecture on the off chance we record another student.
Wow. I’m not only surprised that the principal had the gall to press charges against a disabled child for recording his own torment, but also that a court judge actually convicted the child instead of throwing out the obviously stupid case.
Why didn’t this kid just keep quiet for years of potential increased bullying and unpopularity, joined the NSA, then waited years longer until time travel was invented and done the recording? It would have been legal then.
Recently my little sister who had autisim recently died this easter only a few days ago due to cardiac arrest. And after seeing this post it made me sick and feel sad. How could they take this boy to court AND interrogate him. It makes me want to burn all US courts seeing they are a place for evil people to exploit others to earn a quick buck.
