The media coverage of blacks dying from police brutality also counters what he says. From Rodney King to Amadou Diallo, blacks at the receiving end are normally held up as poor victims of police savagery. Many are legitimate, others not so much. But the media has the highest of sympathy for any black person who is harmed by police.

After all, even in the most conservatives of circles, the media is FILLED with unbelievably left-leaning liberals who are ready to milk a sob story wherever one exists. This isn’t just anecdotal, either. I’ve gone through the profession and follow the careers of a lot of journalists. You’re free to look it up if you doubt me.

^Agreed on the three-piece suit part. Admittedly, I’m more a T-shirt and baggy pants kinda guy, but when I want to impress the strangers I may pass on some random area, I will suit up. EVERYBODY looks nice in a tailor made suit, and I don’t care what body type you are. You will look nicer hooked up in a well made long sleeve shirt with matching pants, belt, tie, and shoes. Throw a hat on top of it and get a picture. No matter where you go, you’ll look nicer in that outfit than not.

I am against men wearing hats with their suits. It’s no longer a necessity to complete the suit. In fact, I’m against most hats because men never get the one that best fits their features. They also have a negative connotation. Who wants to remind people of this:

Regardless of race, it doesn’t matter if you’re white or black, the point I’m trying to make is that you don’t want to look like a criminal. If a cop stops you and you’re wearing a “fcuk the police” shirt, wearing your jeans on your knees, and giving the cops attitude you shouldn’t act surprised if the cops are going to be pissed off at you and you don’t want that.

Try to have some class and act professional, you are embarrassing blacks by saying that it’s only limited to white people.

Acting like trash isn’t limited to blacks and I have seen a good amount of white trash wearing clothes that promote drug use and violence act surprised when cops try to get them for drug use and in some cases beat them.

I’m not saying it’s only limited to blacks, we’re arguing two different points. Blacks are already stereotyped in our media as criminals and the idea that it is “Black Culture” that makes them that way, that thinking is what I have a problem with.

Of course don’t show up to a job interview in a coffee/pot stained wife beater, baggy jeans, stolen Jordans and drunk. But at the same time, stereotypes persist and still hold people of color back in this country. A change of clothes can’t stop societal viewpoints of a people.

Unfortunately, that is what usually happens. The schools and parents sometimes look the other way and the next minute someone gets stabbed 15 times (Jorge Saavedra). A victim of bullying only has so much patience and if the school officials aren’t going to do anything, then the victim may be inclined to take matters into their own hands. In this case, the school could have not even called the girl’s mother and this would have kept going for who knows how long because the mother appeared to be out of touch.
