Melty Blood ReACT: Final Tuned Open Discussion

Then install final tuned.

The game feels so different it is more than just a patch. It really changes the gameplay.

Replays

NDW-ZAR (Left side) VS Sp00ky (Right side)

Zar plays multiple characters, I play satsuki/warc/a really shitty m.hisui

Got some action myself last night with two other players I just introduced the game to.

I only play one out of these videos. I’m playing Shiki Nanaya.

some general tips would be great. just to help me get a feel for the game to start out with. I think I’m gonna play Sion, so any other tips you guys could send my way

I just saw a couple of videos of this game, it reminds me of Waku Waku 7 for some reason. I must say I need to get this game one way or another :badboy: , and also that Yumiduka Satsuki has some annoying combo, once she grab you it won’t let you go.

Damn I have to register.

sp00ky: Just watched a few replays, and I’m dumbfounded by the speed. Did u guys crank up the speed of the game or what? My eyes can still keep up with all that’s happening but it was surprising.

That’s just the typical pace of matches as you get better at the game. Plays much more like a bootleg marvel or GGXX game than say, cvs2.

We aren’t exactly amazing at the game, I’d say alot of the japanese players would run circles around me and NDW would be hard pressed to win matches, but we have played it fairly consistently for maybe a little over 6 months.

Learn to whiff cancel blocked strings, throws are a bit underpowered (they lack range and it’s hard to throw after a blocked hit), airthrows are godly, and learn how to shield as there isn’t anything you can’t shield anymore.

Sion specifically: Your poking ability sucks, decent uppercut, pretty bad heat and blood heat super, damaging yet easy combos (with meter), and you actually have a workable overhead so abuse that.

Anything more specific than that you can ask and I’ll try and answer. But Sion isn’t my main character, I hate how much her normals suck for poking.

This has been bothering me for a bit: Is there anything else to heat/blood heat besides life regen and access to certain supers?

You have acces to Last Arcs. In Act Cadenza, activating also stops the clock.

can someone give me a link that has the game for purchase on it because i coulnt find it on the other links givin on the first page.

Just noticed that Himeya no longer has Melty Blood.

Palet Mail Web Service has ReACT but the original Melty Blood is currently sold out. You can get a request for restock:

Akibado is not your standard web store. You have to place an order to let them know what you want so they can get it for you. Their web page explains how it works in the Import Agent section. If you can give them a picture or something it really helps.

thank you very much i bin lookin for this game for about a month now.

First post updated with purchase information. Akibado seems to be the only online retailer I know of where you can get the entire game atm.

A search for “Melty Blood” in Yahoo Auctions Japan has several hits at different prices (someone wants $100+ for both MB and ReACT, WTF). Anyways, for the less ridiculously priced auctions Akibado can help you as well.

i just got the demo of this game recently and its very fun. i would like to purchase the full version, but i’ll wait till one of the stores has it in, as i have no money right now. when you guys play, do you use the keyboard or a stick? if you use a stick, do you use like a converter and some ps2 stick, or is there a decent stick for pc?

Just get a ps -> usb converter for your stick, easiest solution. No one should use keyboard as that is the worst thing to use when playing against other people. Do yourself a favor and use a pad or stick.

whats the best ps2>usb converter that works with an hrap? playing the demo has proved theres no real way to play fighting games with a keyboard after years of arcade playing…

Linalys is right. Fighting games aren’t meant for the keyboard, I can beast with the keyboard on action games and some shooters.
But then again, I know a guy that can hand ass to people with the keyboard on King of Fighters 98 on emulation.

following PC Pads are recommended:
>Thrustmaster

same controller but with analog pads

>Any controller made by Saitek

There’s a cheaper version of that controller that doesn’t have analog. 10 dollars or so.

Hey, I am a kb player.

Though granted, relatively speaking MB is rather keyboard-unfriendly:

  • cannot change kb keys
  • input detection for 41236 is awkward
  • many keyboards get input problems when conbining N.M.<,> with the arrows.
