Melty Blood ReACT: Final Tuned Open Discussion

hmm i’m assuming that the ps2 software runs entirely on version b. i don’t think they would port it to the arcades otherwise. also, rumor has it that nanaya will be buffed.

on the other hand, i wonder if the console version will manually let you select neco arc. you could only get her randomly in the arcade, correct?

I am playing final tuned, so if that’s the case then that sucks. They couldn’t have been that cheap, could they?
Is there any way to increase the difficulty level of arcade mode in Final Tuned?

lets hope they tweak some other things here and there. coughSatsukicough

Yeah, I hope so too. So much damage for so little effort.

Satsuki used to be muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch worse. I think it took one combo, which was around like 8 hits to literally kill you, but that was like 2.001. Her ex - air grab (623+C) had a reach that took 55% of the screen infrot of her. Even then, before FT, she did 3300 just with three IAD j.C’s (god that has to be my favorite combo in all of fucking existance).

I’m learning her again to become THE SACCHIN MASSTER~

That being said, Shiki is bullshit.

Bullshiiiiiiiit~

If anyone needs damage tweaking, it’s Sion. You do know how much damage that corner loop does, right? :stuck_out_tongue:

The whole possibilty of Nanaya getting beefed up sounds appealing to me considering that he got nerfed to holy hell in the transition from 2.009a to FT.

i’m assuming a lot of bugs and infinites will be removed from version b. anyhow, let’s hope for a better cast balance.

That is true, Sion is a little too good. I think of all the characters I want tweaked I think Satsuki, Sion, and Arc are the ones that need it most. But then again, this is just my opinion. I dunno, am I the only one who thinks Nero should have his old crow super? Prolly. :looney:

Satsuki is nowhere near broken, her damage is good as long as she have circuit, but without it she can’t do crap…
Arc??? i could understand if you’ve said Warcueid but Arc is not that good seriously.

Getting rid of the 421B wc corner infinite should be enough, if they tone down the damage of her “normal” corner loop more than a little, i hope they give her a better poke game.

Mybad, I did intend to say Warc. Sorry for the confusion. Though, they better get rid of that retarded Shiki infinite. I dunno why, it just annoys me.

Well getting rid of any or all infinites would be a good idea. Arc may not be that good but she definitely doesn’t suck. She’s not in need of any nerfing. Though, maybe they should get rid of her infinite while they’re at it.

What’s wrong with the Shiki infinites? I see why it’s no good to have them in FT but what’s wrong with them in AC?

I think the other way around, there not so much of a big problem with those in FT as there is no timer and no one (well i think) would go for an infinite that have to be done for something like ten minutes.
But in AC the timer makes those a lot more usefull, like we can see in numerous jap match videos, anyway infinites are a stupid thing by definition so getting rig of them can’t be bad for the game (even if sometimes infiniting a Shiki player who seems to think something like “i can do jC and 2C, i’m invincible!!” can fell good…).

For Arc, good change would be that they make her ** overhead a little faster.

Famitsu Scores:

Melty Blood: Act Cadenza (PS2, Sega): 8 / 8 / 8 / 7 - (31/40)

Is this good or bad for a fighting game?

that sounds decent enough for a fighting game. i think slash got 27 or 28.

then again, they also gave the original soul calibur a perfect score…

That’s definitely not a bad score at all, especially for a fighting game that was originally created by a doujin company.

Dude, EVERYONE gave SC1 a perfect score.

About Melty Blood, I played some ReAct a while back. It feels a lot like Guilty Gear, and I find it different/maybe cool in that even badass combos do less damage than you think they would (from seeing Act Cadenza match vids). You could just imagine how long a match with 2 beginners would take.

The reduced combo damage was kinda necessary considering how much damage all the characters did in the Re-Act games. Eveb the simplest BnB combos could do half life more or less.

The sig says it all…
