Melty Blood ReACT: Final Tuned Open Discussion

o cool now I can try to get better against humans lol!

now how do I get this to work?

i basically just read this whole dang thread…

is there no love for Ren at all anywhere ever?

j. 2c a lot. Mixup with double jump 2c.

Ren is a popular jap character but way underplayed in the U.S. I’d recommend some jap vid floating to gather what you need.

  1. Make sure you have version 2.501b
  2. Make sure you do NOT have any kind of non-official patches (boss patch, etc)
  3. If you have a router, open the port that the net client uses (80-something, it lets you know when you run it)
  4. Double click the .exe
5.1 If you are joining, enter the ip address of the person hosting
5.2 If you are hosting, press enter and enter the frameskip (more frameskip = slower). Wait for someone to join your game.
  5. The net client starts MBR when a connection is stablished.

Well let’s hope work continues on this and the patch is evolved further.

More frameskip (going from 1 to 9) is FASTER. Less frameskip (going from 9 to 1) is SLOWER. However more frameskip = I can’t input qcf OMG!, less frameskip = OMG teh lag!!

Excellent description linalys.

<3

i figured as much, but i wanted something more…

the best combo i could come up with:

iad.C, dj.C-2C, land, 2A-2B-3C -> 236C, jump forward, late j.A/C -> airthrow, land, 5A/B-5C -> 236C, jump forward, late j.C, land, j.A-C, dj.B-C -> airthrow.

and my mixup is usually just a jump in j.C, either land into a low or airdash into a second C or a B. I dunno if any of this is any good, but that’s what I trying to find out: the better stuff I know the japs probably are doing. Any direction you can point me towards getting some jap vids of ren?

ahem.

I’m just starting to get into playing her (after taking a long time off from this game) and I’ve been playing her solo. It’s a lot more fun that way. I can do part of her air combo up to about 10 hits. I think you can string it to about 25 or so. Is there anyplace to learn the rest of it?

So what’s this DVD whitearc has on their page?

Was there some recent tournament?

I wants~

More info here: http://whiteark.sakura.ne.jp/boh2nd/

Seems to be a tournament with preliminary rounds and stuff like that. You can use Google for translation.

I’m just posting this for a friend who’s trying to build a scene for MBAC in Southern California.

“If you live in the Southern California area and would like to play Melty Blood, the awesome doujin fighting game based off of the Type-Moon anime/manga/ero-game Tsukihime, come down to Interface Gamer’s Network in Simi Valley!”

Interface Gamer’s Network

There is also one MBAC machine at Arcade Infinity in Rowland Heights, Southern California.

Wow…do people actually play on it?

People are starting to play more on the MBAC machine in Interface. It’s definately not as popular as SF3s… but yeah. Like I said, we’re trying to BUILD a scene. Maybe one day we can have a Arcade Infinity Vs Interface tournament?

anyone know anything about the Act Cadenza PS2 port? I’d hope that they’d update it a bit, since it’s behind Final Tuned. (just want them to justify my purchase)

What, two cabinets in the entire nation?

Haha, nice.

How much does that cost anyway?

:O!?
