please open hamachi and join the existing network mbrus:mbrus and message someone online for further information

shit, ill get in, im liking this game more and more.

EDIT: the netplay is ok, just make sure you’re playing someone close to avoid lag.
i recommend trying it out.

Anyone confirm that it’s playable with the option tweaks?

you dont even need them unless the lag is horrid. using it online is like a hack that circumvents the speed problem, but makes the game play weird.

Just tried this out (im a total newbie to Melty Blood) and I don’t know what you guys are talking about lag… it runs great!

No input delay AT ALL unlike Kaillera, and the game barely stuttered… maybe now I actually have a way to learn how to play!

thanks bobba

I wanna play this game…I’ve read nothing but good about it…where can I get the game? Or is that something that shouldn’t be talked about on the forums?

You probably just played someone close to you, because netplay for this game lags just as bad as Kailleria. Just read the first page and you’ll see. Unless you both of you have some kind of godly internet connection, though I doubt it.

Plus, to the people reading this thread…you don’t need Hamachi or any kind of virtual lan to play. Just don’t host a game if your on a router, because you can’t otherwise.

Well, you can, it just involves opening some ports or setting your router to DMZ.

Indeed this is something that should not be talked about on the forums. Buy it in through an online shop, or just use your usual ‘torrent’ contacts.

Ok so exactlyl which patch do I need for this game? I have version 2.501 of MBR-Final Tuned.

And WHY is it so hard for them to create an interface for keyboard configuration???

Keyboard sucks, just buy yourself a stick or pad.

2.501b is the last update. If you need it, try here: http://mirror.fuzzy2.com/meltyblood/index.html

As for the key config, there’s a hack to change the keys. Here. First post, third link.

You mean the one that the program uses? I remember trying that for MBR and EFZ, and it still didn’t work while I was hosting on a router.

Heh DMZ…never thought about it. I wouldn’t risk the safety of my computer for crappy online play, let allow for this game. That’s just me though. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok I just finished playing with rogueyoshi today. I couldn’t complete one match before it would desync, anyone bad better luck with this? The desync rate seems pretty high.

Lol, people aren’t ‘that’ interested in your computer. As long as you still have some other protection like a firewall. Millions of people use computers without a router everyday.

Apparently Sample told me (a long time ago) that he managed to play with some people w/o getting desyncs. However, in my experience, when I tried the netplay program, I always got desyncs after every round. I have no idea how those guys did manage not to get the desyncs…
