Agreed. If not for all of Gibson’s other offenses and history of anger issues, i could defend him. On the basis that he is just having some sour relationship problems and all, was hurt bad, and now he is simply lashing out in anger and frustration. Anyone of us would be that way if put in that situation(minus the racial slurs & hitting though).
However since Gibson has a history of anger issues, lashing out, and spouting racially charged stuff like a jackass, i just can’t defend him now.

Comedy is always about finding the conventional or the absurd, and challenging/exacerbating it in some manner.
He shouldn’t get so angry, but it sounds like it was a set up to me. She gets him all pissed off, then records it, he doesn’t know he is being recorded, so he unleashes some rage, she knows he is being recorded, so the bitch acts all innocent and weak.
Of course I see CNN is saying Mel Gibson is a monster, who needs to be in prison and lose his children and money. When they brought up how he was set up, the NAACP women said, “Even if it was a setup, he is an adult, and he needs to be responsible. He offends women and minorities. Women need to be protected from abusive men like Mel.”
I suppose what she said is true, but I doubt she is a super calm person always, especially if a spouse was out of control, I bet she too would scream, especially if she too did not know she was being recorded.
