Hey All from Maryland/Va. Been a while… This is Moose. My gamertag on xbox is MoosePanda. I’m married now and have a kid. Sorry I haven’t been in the scene. But I do have some good news. I have been a SM at GAMESTOP for about 3 years now and I will be conducting round 1,2,and 3 in the richmond area. Round 3 may concern you for street fighter 4 because this includes all of maryland/va/nc area in the ashland area. If you have any questions you may want to message me on xbox for the rules, but most gamestops will make you use xbox 360 controllers. Yuck!!! There are no sticks allowed unless the manager provides them…luckily I have two hori’s so round 3 will have arcade sticks and round 2 I will have them as well. Message me and fight me on XBOX LIVE. ninja edit: sf4 is some crack. what turned into a few hours of online play, turned into 8 hours of me climbing the ranks 20 points at a time. not to mention multiple disconnects.

I went to a Gamestop last night and played on the 360 controllers. All I can say is that the need to have this thing on the PS3. I thought about buying the game now and getting a PS3 later but it seems like the majority of y’all will be playing this game on the 360…FUCKERS!!!

Big event this friday at my house, I realized Deviljin may have texted or called some of you for me. However here are the details I posted on my facebook:

Street Fighter 4 Friday:**
What: I want to celebrate the release with friends. playing, talking, and food option lol. Fun and hype demanded!
Why: The game coming out brings back alot of memories between friends, both old and new.
Where: My house, Friday Feb 20th. Basement opens **3 oclock, closes t’ill people want to leave.

Important: Bring something to eat or drink, everyone is bringing something (its not optional unless u have a good reason not to! Please bring what you can as far as SF4 goes. Well be playing on PS3, but currently only one HD tv and two normal… Adaptors (i cant stress this one enough), TV’s, Console (PS3 only), and obviously whatever your comfortable playing on. will have one Xbox 360.
Anyone is invited, I may tag people I may not, its not closed event but at the same time I’m not expecting people who are not as into this to show up but I don’t wanna leave anyone out. Its gaming but its alot of chatting and catching up with old farts.

If anyone is interested, there has been word on the street about a tournament being held next Saturday (the 28th) at Eastpoint Mall in a store called, ‘Game On.’
My boy Vernon is hosting this tournament and has now updated this tournament to have SF4 as well as TvC and a casuals TV and DC for Marvel casuals. I’m not exactly sure how much the tournament entry fee is, but shouldn’t be more than $5/$10. The venue fee is also $4, which isn’t much at all, so that’s cool.

I live in MD and go to UMD as an undergrad, but I’ve never really seen an SF scene around here. There’s a good Brawl scene, but I’ve only seen one SF machine on campus… and it’s SF3 2nd impact.
This sounds cool, I’m looking for more good players to start playing with. I’ve made a bunch of random friends on Xbox Live but it doesn’t compare to actually sitting around with a group of people right next to you and playing against them. If I can find time I’ll show up for this, thanks for the heads up. FYI, what kind of skill level would this usually draw? I’d consider myself intermediate, I generally know how the game is played but I’m pretty far from being pro.
What’s the prize and what time does the tourney start?
A 2nd Impact machine is better than what we’ve got over here on the Northeast side, haha.
The kind of skill level this will draw for both SF4/TvC would be intermediate IMO, since the game hasn’t been played enough to be considered professional. But that’s only in my opinion with consideration of how much better people are going to get in the future.
However, the Marvel casuals is going to be professional, to say the least. ^^;;
The pot may be split 70/20/10 or 60/30/10, depending on how Vernon wants to do it, since he’s the host. I’m not exactly sure when the tourney starts, but I’m sure it’ll be around 1pm.
