Welp, iNerd, dikrodnum, and I were there most of the time. We got a couple good games and some people at X THIRTY(O) started to play with us too. It was pretty packed with people today as well, might be the rainy day though.

Good games to D-rod and Zero. I can appreciate a small get together every now and then, you get more games in that way. How much is it tomorrow? I might be there like all day because i think im free tomorrow.

It’s 6 dollars an hour normal rate Fridays and Saturdays. The only way to make Fridays-Saturdays anything close to fitting a budget is to sign up for the annual membership (which is 40 dollars) and then you can come any day of the week all day for 8 dollars. At least that’s what it says on the website.
BTW sorry I couldn’t make it out today. I was there like everyday this week other than Thursday so I needed to take a break from gaming for one day. LOL.
I say our next big X30 get together should be on Sunday. Opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm 5 dollars all day. That’s practically arcade hours so that’ll give a lot of time for a lot of different people to come by and practice up. Especially cool since it’s the day after C3 and it’ll give us something to let out all our frustrations on after scrubbin out in the tournament. :lol: Anyone who plans on coming Sunday post up or just show up.

Well, its 24$ for an all day pass, or 16$ if you’re a student on Fridays and Sat. Its sort of worth it since you get to play from like 3 PM til 2AM

I suggest a new x30 specific thread be made. Last couple of pages were pretty silly.
I’m thinking about going to C3 now that singles are open…but I don’t want to pay 10$ to get my ass whooped LOL. Plus the teams look stacked and godlike, great matches to watch. The only thing is that I can only watch matches for so long before I get really bored.
To me, that still wouldn’t be worth it. Only 11 hours?

Pretty much except you don’t even really need to bring your own console since they already have at least 1 360 and 1 PS3 there. They only have the PS3 version of SFIV it’s cool if someone else brings a 360 copy just incase. You can bring your own console incase the guitar hero or COD nerds get to the 360 first.

Don’t really need to do that either but if you prefer your own stick then yeah. Everyone brings their sticks any ways so if you don’t have a working one (like me :sad:) sa’ll gravy. Pads are not allowed. You will be escorted outside and not allowed back in until the pad is either thrown in the trash or otherwise discarded. Thank you for your cooperation.
A couple people usually bring their sticks and people just rotate. Bring your controller if you can, but its not completely necessary.
If everyone decides not to bring one because they think someone else will, no one will end up bringing one.
A big group of people trying to play fighting games will never all not bring a stick. If mine was working I would bring it everyday regardless. People are picky about sticks and I can still use my personal sticks just a little bit better than someone else’s stick based on picky things like where the buttons are placed or how worn in they are. If you have a stick and like it you’ll bring it. Just the way stick players are. Technically we only need 2 sticks with Sanwa/Seimetsu parts per tv and that’s really easy for 2 random dudes who play SFIV seriously to bring by.
I’m just referring to the people who don’t have quality sticks at the house to play on (stuck with pad or cheap Hori stick). Pretty much everytime I’ve been at X30 now everyone had a stick and no one was even told to bring theirs. Like on Monday we could have started up a stick auction with sticks just laying around the place. People like what they spent their money on and they’ll bring it.
Well at this point you’re not really in a good position to do anything other than watch what’s going on at C3 any ways. Even if you were one of the best you’re a sitting duck now. Unless you’re one of those random new people that likes playing Marvel you can always enter that. :lol: My bro is in the same position because he didn’t get a team set up and the cap for the teams has already met its quota (16 teams). I just lucked out and had a friend just throw me on his team. Otherwise I would have been SOL too.
There’s already 48 people in the team tournament so basically no one else can even throw money in for a spot in the team tourney. There’s also going to be a singles SFIV event but unless someone else helps Eric V with running the singles tourney…the singles event may not even go down. I would go just to be there and see what it’s like and go early so you can get casuals in. Like get there at 5:00.
