and yeah im just about 15 minutes from springfield or so. i can come around your way too if it makes things easier. i really dont use my house for gaming though other than my computer, it wouldnt be the best setup. i cant remember any places anymore that has a tv setup that we can use, any ideas? oh and is it ok to play this game on stick? or is pad recommended? isnt there only 4 buttons?
Well you should really be using a stick over a pad in any fighting game. Just because in the long run a good stick will give you better precision when doing directional motions and all that. Not to mention nice buttons always help for doing cancels and karas and all that stuff. Everyone in Japan has to play it on an arcade machine (unless they’re anti social and play by themselves on PS2) so they have no choice.
Oh and yes…there’s only 4 buttons but that doesn’t take away from needing to use a stick for the game. Virtua Fighter has only used 3 buttons for almost every game (including VF5) and it’s definitely much better to use a stick for that game. Especially if you use characters with tight frame moves.

i actually did that. for a while a while ago my stick broke and i had to play on a pad. its also easy to paint the fence and shoshosho on a pad.
