MD/VA Players thread!

How did they get in the magazine? Who do they know at tips and tricks?

Does anyone know where in the Tri-State I can get My PoS2 modded? I want to run an import in my next tourney, and need to chip it. Pandora’s Cube does, but they use those crappy old USB mods. I need a place I can take it and the chip to and get it done.

P.S. I could do it myself, but I want a store to do it in case something goes wrong. Thanks.

I dunno if this question has been posted anywhere before, but does anyone know where there is a decent 3S machine in Virginia, and the address please? I know Commonwealth 20 has a SF3 machine (3s or 2I?), but they’re really lame when it comes to playing there, and the setup is not that great.
I’m asking this because I’m getting tired of Cap2, and want to try something different, and from all the times I’ve played 2I/3S I’ve enjoyed it, and really want to dedicate some time to learning this great game.

Where is the best place to play people in MVC2 and 3rd Strike in this area?

I am looking for some good competition.

PhoenixPhire: you would have to be a bit more specific on what “area” you are looking for comp in. Narrow it down for us because you could be anywhere from Baltimore to Roanoke 5 hours apart.

Doa: Where is this Commonwealth 20 place? Other than that Southpark Mall is the only place within an hours drive to play 3s. Cloverleaf’s Tilt used to have it before it closed down.

Southpark Mall, eh? How’s the setup there? It’s kind’ve a far drive from where I live, but if the setup is good it can be worth it. Commonwealth 20’s really ghetto, and kinda ragged, but still playable, but not on par with VCC or anything. Commonwealth 20 is a theatre on Hull street.

anywhere in Virginia or DC

Hey all. I’m considering to organize a tournament for 3rd strike and CvS2 in Cambridge, MA (MIT) . I don’t know how much hype this would stir since I don’t recall the interest factor over there.

But for those interested, theres more information in the threard titled: “3rd Strike & CvS2 tournament anyone?” in the Atlantic North and Matchmaking forum.

Commonwealth 20 is this place in far chesterfield, southwest of VCU, far southwest!!! It’s farther than the Chesterfield Town Center. It’s out by a place called Brandermill… a rich folk town. Yes, someone else remembers Cloverleaf’s Timeout arcade!!! That was the TTT home. But now it’s gone… sigh…best arcade in Richmond besides Break Point… cheap too!!!

But then Cloverleaf went to hell, and no one goes there now.

I’m Sanfording it to Maryland in mid-October. Taking my disability check and my roommate and trying to find an apartment I can stay in.

Hey, anyone got a spare room? J/K… I’m going to try to manage it with my social worker.

Anyhoo, just a heads up of sorts.

No Rick I WON’T LET YOU LEAVE!!! I am going to lock you in my closet.

What part of MD are you looking into? You have the part that’s close to B-more, close to DC(where I’m at), and in the middle of that.

Metro DC. I’m looking into Prince George’s County (since I’m familiar with the area). I’m going to surely be in Bethesda sometime mid-October, but that’s for hospital treatments and icky stuff like that. I’m looking into is housing assistance and/or willing friend to keep me while I look for apartment.

Cool. Welcome to MD. One of the best places for comp on the East Coast.
