I’m thinking of throwing a tournament CVS2, mvc2,3s,st and ggxx i need some imput i’m trying to see if fools would really come to this shit. Just trying to keep the scene alive in MD and i won’t enter cvs2 so it should be a wide open tournament.

people will come… the only problem is WHERE would you have it?
Thimking IGM in Towson it has like 35 tvs and it has really nice leather seats so people could get comfortable and the only thing that would have to happen is that we give a portion of the entry fee to the people that run the store. More than anything i wanted to get and accurate head count on how many people would be interested in such a thing. Also i needed the people that are the best in their games example Tyraidman to tell me the correct rankings for MVC2 same thing with 3s and ggxx.

I know myself and some Fred heads would like to come. Would you provide the sticks or will it be a “bring your own control” tourney? If so, the only thing we can really bring is an arcade machine which is fine by us as long as no one else has any problem with it.
Either way, it’d kick ass to meet some of you heads. I’m sure it’d be good times. Thanks for the heads up Bmore Chun.

Sounds good, we gotta start advertising early. So make a plot of how you want it. We will make a srk post advising head count and a date to see if you can cover the cost and possibly make a profit…

I think its called VGA:Video Gaming Association sounds good but the hardest part is cancelling the stupid ass Halo and Madden Tourneys they have on Saturday unless you want to have it on a Sunday but i dont know if we could stay long enough to finish the Tournament. anyway we probaly need more DCs;not just mine and B-mores.
everyone will bring a DC, the problem is actually having it. I wont be there though.

We should contact this place to see if they’ll let us do this… and if so, what Saturdays (or Sundays?) are available. Does anyone have any other information on them? Do they have a website?
I’ve actually been looking around online for cheap halls to rent out for a tournament. If anyone has any connections with American Legions or any similar halls that would let us set up a tournament, let us know if you can get a good deal on it Saturdays (…or sundays…)
