MD/VA BlazBlue Thread!

dont complain to me about losses… i was like 1-20 at one point lol.

Luckily im playing you guilty gear guys so im learning a lot really fast. I dont have work today so me and bigazn will be chillen.

hmm, never heard of it. but hrap2’s are notoriously fickle with converters. What games are on PS3? Tekken? Ah, of course, SF4. Find someone who consistently does combos with multiple 1 frame links, and see if he suddenly starts screwing up.

Or you can check around the tech forum. Or ask toodles what his method for testing lag was.

Yah, I posted in the converter thread. I don’t think I got a response.

Blah, and HRAP2s are known for messing up with converters? DAMN, right when I sold my HRAP3 I find this out…

Mamation, you’ve gotta’ show me how to use Nu.

I mean, I suck in general at this game since game’s mechanics are weird. But yeah, I think I’ve gotta’ know how to maximize damage with Nu if I land a sword stab. All I really do is the basic BnB: 5DD, 4DD, 235D and for anti-airs 2C, j.C, j.2C, dj.C, j.2C, 214D.

Need to figure out some better combos.

Very few converters will work lagless with HRAP2’s. If I remember correctly, the Pelican PS2 to PS3 Guiter Hero converter thing works lagless. Put they are rare now.

shrug, maybe this will help you

i was just playing with the guys, making lunch now so should be good to go around 2~2:30 if you want games. Same goes for everyone, someone start a room and i’ll message you all when im done eating.

I’ll sell it back to ya dual modded with an IMP switch for $230 :stuck_out_tongue:

Thats exactly why I use Rachel…

lol, die

i love how as soon as my pat mentioned the 22A loop to slogan he disapeared into training mode. Good times.

And o my gosh, i had such a hard time against Litchi. Starting to get a hang of it though. Good games guys, we had a good room get together thing where we were going back and fourth, it was fun. Learned a lot in those Litchi and Hakumen fights. Mainly, dont get hit…

Damn Chun in SF4 and now Litchi? lol

cant stop looking at her chest

i’m not sure i really like this game … but i’ll keep on playing it. i think i’m doing it wrong. cause i’m playing it like sf without knowing with moves are safe / punishable and not even knowing what other people can do and how to block their resets

I doubt I’ll be home from evo by that day but I’ll try

Gotta disable the DLC’s on the femme pack lewlpewl.

Hmm the only thing you wanna keep from SF is some spacing and zoning knowledge. Poking but for big combos. I don’t know about other characters, but mine is all situational dependent with her combos so I was in training mode for the first 2 days. Finally feeling comfortable to play matches more for match up knowledge.

So yeah definitely get your execution and combo knowledge down before you play matches, or it won’t be fun. Poking is good, but it’s different here than making someone whiff…you wanna beat them to the punch or make them whiff by run stopping/jumping etc.

It takes some getting used to because you can cancel things ridiculously with jumps and normals into other normals that you wouldn’t ever be able to in SF4.

i think of the game more like marvel than 4… i compare my noel to a cable with sentinel drones assist.

well i end up getting negative penalty cause the only way i win is via akuma fireball ky i mean jin. his C airfireball seems to stop a lot of shit. i started using 6c but i rarely even land it. the combo is pretty easy 6c, 2d, 6c, 66, c, 9bc, 9bc, (236c or d optional to keep them away). i’m not really feeling the gameplay though. it feels like i have no range. and i have to really get in your face to do any damage. i mean jin’s basic j b,c,d is ok i guess. but doing something like j b, c, 2a, 2b, 3c, 214b is actually a chore. you have to be so f’kin close to even get that last 3c.

oh the air combo should be 6c, 66, c, 9bc, 9cd, 214b. it’s easier than the combo that is shown on the jin dvd (it’s on the jin strat dvd section - albeit not shown explicitly). i think jin is probably the least execution heavy characters in this game given i can pull his shit off in training mode at like 95% within the first hour or so. he’s kind of lame as far as gimmicks though

lol cmon Rufus player this should feel like home field advantage.

I love this game, but my execution is horrible. I think that’s whats holding me back in MOST fighting games, because I’m pretty bad at SF4.

I will spend a good two weeks in Training mode with Rachel.

i leveled up like crazy play foxstepceo. god damn carl is gdlk. can’t even normal combo that mufcker.

want to play mvc2? pick carl

yeah, that was pretty funny, good times
