Maybe I'm helping beginners become intermediate

Do any of you know anyone who got a custom joystick from the Genesis/SNES days? I am that person.

Notice I Said GOT, not BUILT.

I know I have never built a joystick myself. I never claimed to “build” in the sense of making the box. Buying the buttons and soldering. But I built it in the sense of designing it.

That’s why I was on the tech boards, trying to understand the technology. so I know what’s possible, what’s a Neo Geo/ Astrocade (in terms of $$$$$$$$) level solution, and what requires a new leap in technology (like the Alloy Stick chip of reprogramming, but reprogrammed to disallow macros and other cheats )

No one cares that you purchase a stick during the SNES/Genesis days.
No a soul, only person who think it should matter is you. And I am wondering for what purpose you are bringing this up? It’s irrelevant to any of your threads or your current endeavors.

You show an inability to learn and you are resistant to those who try to teach.
And you refuse to learn the jargon of the feild.

Nothing, nothing is required and the whole field of building a stick with zero encoder been explored to hell and back.

That is really laughable coming from a person who refuses to learn

Oh fucking bullshit, don’t give me this blogna now.

You never, ever once ever shown any interest in this, this is why no one wants to help you any more.
Besides you refusing to learn, and you never stay on track. I know people who forgot to take their daily adderall for their ADHD who more focused centered that you are.

You are missing the whole point. I was walking Stan through the joystick. and my contribution to the project was researching to see a) what I want, b) the best way to do it, and c) convey to Stan how to do that. I took my job seriously.

I NEVER CLAIMED I BUILT a joystick, just designed it, and paid for a prototype. Notice I used the verb “have had built”.

Confusing verb. Maybe “comissioned” would be a better verb.

By the way I DID LISTEN. Stan out us behind by insisting on wiring by colors. You told me to ignore colors and wire them in pin order (assuming not a crossover), so I conveyed that message to him.

I understood the concept of using RJ45 as 8 wires in a fixed group and all that matters is they “stay in their lane” in geometric order, NOT COLOR CORRESPONDRNCE.

He didn’t because he messed up twice. I bought a sub $10 RJ45 tester at walmart.com. it didn’t have any the fancy things about the twists and the pairings but then again when your joystick maker you don’t need it the perfect tool for quickly checking integrity and check for crossovers.

I get yelled at when I propose something and see if something’s been done before. And I get yelled at when I understand tell Stan in Stan doesn’t listen. Seems like no matter what I’m going to get yelled at opening my mouth cuz I dare speak of the Sinister stick.
