So simply make a limit to the number of smash players, make them register in advance, and give preference to those who play other games. You give preference to those that enter multiple tournaments and if they do not actually play in the other tournaments that they entered (it is ok if you enter but don’t play as the game schedule is too busy but lets say 12 year old smasher X gets his mother to enter him into every tournament so he is basically guaranteed a spot in the smash tournament. This is who this rule is targeting) , just kick them out of the smash tournament and forfeit all potential winnings with no refunds for anything. No signups at the door for smash unless they are already playing in a tournament for another game. Registration for smash only players must be in advance, pre-approved, and smashers must show ID to play. This will solve any occupancy problems relating to SSBB. It is harsh but I would be willing to do the same thing if say SF4 was going to be there with hundreds of entrants.
