I got our room for $89 + tax at Holiday Inn. I booked a few days in advance. Personally I don’t care about casual because I just end up going to bed while everyone else is gaming (the plight of being the driver of a 10 hour journey) but figured it’d be nice for my 3S guys to play people before heading home.
The lowest price for the extended stay ones are 74.99$ and are normal size. I just happen to choose the suits because of the amount of people.

Gas is 3.99 where I live, 4.05 and up at the more expensive stations. I live three hours away, and I’m driving alone. I got a king sized bed at the hilton right next to the place, I think it’s 120 a night. I’ve booked the hotel for friday, saturday, and sunday night, as I plan on actually trying to go out to eat after the tournament with these fucking fools for once since I don’t have to rush back for work or anything.
Sentient Program is the only person who’s asked to stay in my room, and I’m going to let him stay free unless he suddenly started making a ridiculous amount of cash, as he’s a cool kid. Sucks all the hotel had was single king beds, but hopefully this time there will be a couch instead of a goddamn meeting table in the room for him to crash on.
If anyone else wants in my room, let me know. I don’t think I’ll make any hard plans for it and just try to get people who are down on their luck as far as rooms go and give them a free place to stay.
People bitching about how much shit costs and I’m going to spend at least $500 this weekend just to go to this thing, not even counting tournament costs, food, and any money matches I do.

I couldn’t get one lazy fuck from CT to drive my ass and I refused to drive after going in fall of 2006 and driving 9 hours each way…pretty sad when you think about it. I would have loved to be there to support the community, but when you support the entire region for years and nobody will back you up, you know when to say “fuck it.”

Bring whatever you want, I’m carting my PS2, a couple sticks, a laptop with MBAC/Immaterial and Missing Power (I hope those can run on vista because honestly I haven’t installed them yet) and a couple ps2 games.

Question: how cold is it down there right now? Should I pack sweaters (in addition to a winter coat)? It’s like 13 C (55 F) up here right now. I’m expecting it’ll be extra hot inside the venue, so I’m thinking I won’t need a sweater in there, just a coat at the most.
