Unfortunatley the VF5 pre reg list is almost completely comprised of the few SRK players in the area that play the game. Looking at the VFDC forums there’s definitely a LOT of people that play the game that just don’t post here or just aren’t regular SF players. I’ll try to see if I can drum up some attention over there. Surprised Tornado Flame hasn’t already been advertising over there.
LOL. If you really think about it…pretty much anyone who steps foot in C3 is a “weird nigga”. GG/MB players are just not afraid to be different. Simple as that. Everyone else at C3 just tries to cover up their weirdness with as much normalness as they can. “Nah dude I just come here to hit some buttons when I’m bored…I’m really ballin!” Yeah nigga yeah right. It’s not like it’s something we can go tell our girls about and feel macho about. It’s still pretty nerdy these days to carry arcade sticks to monthly tourneys and get excited about it. It’s definitely not wrong and definitely about the most fun thing I do in my life…but I won’t hold anyone back from saying it’s weird or nerdy. When I came back from Evo…the fact that I was holding an arcade stick gave me plenty of “weird nigga” looks from people at the airport and I’m a pretty generic looking black guy.
So with that I bump this thread in hopes that it gets stickied???
Dude I can’t help it that people give you weird looks for openly displaying your stick. It’s not a social norm, and could in fact be offensive to many sheltered people.
One time on the metro coming back from a tournament, I had my giant old sfae stick and a girl still sat near me, struck up a conversation, and ended up giving me her number. She was hot, too! Believe it, it’s true.
same thing happend to me while I was waiting at the Rosslyn metro. Except I didnt let her see the art (since it was elis stick). I would say she was a solid 7.

Havoc: I should have your stick repaired by this. I had completely forgetten that I had the damn thing until I reached under my bed and was like “WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS”. Fuck whoever built the thing, I HATE when fuckers solder directly to the 5 pin connectors. I ordered like 4 wire harnesses though, yay.
