Maverick and Demon Hunters - Zero/Dante Thread

I’ve been trying to make Dante work with Zero, and I have a couple quick questions:

-How are people hit confirming off Jam Session when you hit someone on the ground? Out of the air?
-What is the most damaging follow-up after you OTG with Jam session in the corner?

we get these questions a lotttttttt, considering making a tutorial video to play zero/vergil/dante.

to answer your question, after jam session on the ground: j.mh s.m s.s j.mmhs OTG pickup (sentsuizan or raikousen depending on if youre corner or midscreen) s.s j.2H cancelled into S at the last hit then whatever your finisher is.

Using H raikousen instead of M makes it easier to get full hits in the buster, you can also go into LL after that extension.

Jump Buster > Lightning works in most situations and is probably the easiest confirm off the ground. If you’re close enough you could just do dash S for a straight launch.

Out of the air, you’ll want Super Jump Buster > Air L Hienkyaku > Dash forward > H > S which I believe is the most consistent followup off AA Jam Session

My Dante is free as fuck, I can only play super duper lame keepaway with him. Like I can do all the BC stuff with him in training room but as soon as my Zero dies in a match and Dante comes in, he just gets opened up for free. So, guys how do I improve my Dante game? I feel like I only use Dante for his godlike Jam Session assist.

Ground: J.M,j.M, j.H(1hit) J.S
air : j.S down port or buster depending on height

Anything with buster anywhere.

j.2H (2 or 3 hits) > j.S for when you hit someone at normal jump height.

alone 2 reps is about 800k. Which is why you only really need a 400ish combo before you start.

Quick question, can you confirm off of this?
QCB+M (the dash thingy) cancel into full charge buster. Can you do anything after that?

yep. at point blank and in the corner you can link into st.M, H, S or just st.M, S into whatever.

so would zero be point if in a team with dante? I thought zero wasn’t that good as a battery character.

Was thinking about a combination of zero/dante/vergil. Would this work at all?

I’m a newbie to UMvC3 so I’m taking all my info from the bradygames strategy guide at this point. I thought that zero was at his best when he has an abundance of meter and due to many of his attacks being multi hit he isn’t as good as building battery as say wesker for example.

No he doesn’t need meter, due to the fact he always builds enough meter to kill by himself and still have 100% meter gain. I’m not aware of Wesker being able to build anywhere near as much meter as Zero or Dante…

Well I’m guessing the strategy guides combos are totally useless for my team since they all end up draining meter rather than gaining meter.

The strategy guides really just there for the frame data tbh, get yourself some sticky notes and with the info on this board fine tune the details in the book. Gotta keep it up to date yourself =)

At the moment I’m working on zero/hsien-ko/dante I see,some synergy with the team but I’m still working on it.

I might as well share one of my favorite confirms off jam session. You can just do medium teleport, j.MMH s.S and do a normal combo from there. You can also use this if you get a LMH in the corner, call dante do medium teleport, and you can bring them right back into the corner without having to do a coast to coast combo. I just really like it because it looks really cool.
