Okay, had fun yesterday! I’ve really got to step my game up if I want to be competitive… I keep getting womboed. Yesterday was all locals! Haven’t had that in a while!

Disappointing turnouts the past couple of weeks; we have to get this thing back on track!
Starting this week, venue fee is dropped to $5. Buy in will drop to $5 as well. First place will get 100% of the pot while 2nd place will receive a day pass from GamePad.
Just a heads up, we are probably moving this to Saturdays very soon. We are hoping this will help alleviate the traffic issues (no rush hour). MattyP will post and let everyone know when the change is official.

Wouldn’t Saturdays be a bad idea for weeklies? All other tourneys are on Saturdays. For example… The first one youre going against evo. 3 weeks later there’s civil war 2 in richmond. Etc. Etc.
who cares? nobody goes to fredericksburg anyway.
At this point, Friday is not delivering a big turnout, so something had to be done. A little trial and error is necessary.
Change is definitely coming, but until further notice the tournaments will remain on Friday nights at 7pm. A couple of things factored into us delaying the move, but Matty P will inform everyone when the change is made official…again. Apologies to all for the confusion.
That said, we’re now offering a couple of extras to encourage more folks to come (jaguar not included :arazz:)
- No venue fee if you bring someone new to the tournament.
- Every 10th tournament you come to you will have your venue fee waived. We will get some cards for this and sign off every time you come to one (so make sure you don’t lose the card). This applies to all of our tournaments, not just the SSF4 weekly (we also do MW2, Super Smash Bros Brawl and TvC weeklies). We probably won’t have the cards in time for this week, but we will try to get them starting next week.
- First place after all payouts will receive a prize chosen at random by GamePad staff (GamePad time, free Chick-fil-a, free Auntie Anne’s, etc.)

So we had a smaller turn-out the past 2 weeks. I forgot last weeks results, but I know Blue finished 1st (Elf), I finished 2nd (Sagat), Brayan was 3rd (Bison), and Steve finished 4th (Ryu).

Alright, so we’re planning on turning these into some RanBats for the local players. We’ve seen Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Culpeper, Gloucester (find that on a map) players all represented… So we want to see who reigns the area!
I encourage any and everyone to come participate. The RanBats will last a few weeks/months, so represent yourself often!

I got 5th last week. lol Guess that don’t mean squat though… even for a newcomer. 
Nah, it’s not like that… I just couldn’t remember who got what after 4th. I lost the results. lol
wazzup VA…i’m visiting my sister in DC up through saturday and was wondering what the scene was like up here (i guess you guys call it NoVA). So there will be weekly casuals this friday in fredericksburg? or a tourny? I didn’t bring my stick with me, but if people are friendly and willing to share, I’d be hyped to play some locals.

Every Friday here in Fredericksburg there’s a tournament near 7pm. However, you can come much earlier than that to play casuals and warm up. Sometimes people start showing up at 1. The fee is only $10, no matter how early you come. Half goes to GamePad where the tourney is held, half goes to the pot, which the winner takes.
Usually people don’t mind sharing. Hope to see you here!
