i have a really hard time playing against things that are generally safe. q’s dash punch, remys qcb kick, elenas jumping hk and uriens jumping hk and launcher. the problem is that i’m really bad against people who use alot of ex moves and supers because it’s hard for me to punish moves like this
for example, q fullscreen dash punch —> ex hands or throw
remys qcb kick --> throw or ex flashkick
elenas hk --> well rinse and repeat, range is too fucking far
also, is uriens d.hp punishable at all? lk --> super seems to work, but mk’s either work or the other player is hitting something after it
thing is people tell me to “block”, but i lose way too much momentum and it just lets people do whatever they want on me. i consider myself a mid tier player, but i have more trobule facing noobs than other mid-tier players
First off, you can punish Urien’s d.HP with low forward > short tatsu. Try it out more in training mode.
Sometimes you have to block things out, and you’ll have to read your opponents mixups. However, it shouldn’t be so easy for your opponent to randomly dash punch you or cbk (cold blue kick aka remys qcb kick) you. cbk you should be able to parry on reaction. crouching strong can stuff Q’s dash punch pretty well. just experiment with things. if you see these moves coming, even if they are safe on block, you could parry them, and they won’t keep doing them.
mm, i’m mid tier in that i can do kuroda’s lp crossup, empty flips, kara throws, hitconfirms and a few tatsu combos pretty consistently. but when i can’t really read what my opponents going to do (ie triple shoryukens or retarded shit) i kinda break down. blocking all day doesn’t help if they have minor frame disadvantage

Dude this games been out for a billion years and you’ll never get a serious answer out of any of us cause our standards for playing this game are well beyond your comprehension.
For example, the proper way to punish Urien’s crouch hp is red parry xx lk demon flip, late dive kick, close hp xx mk tatsu, kara rh tatsu, taunt. If in corner replace kara rh tatsu with mp srk. And FYI mk tatsu to mp srk finish is identical damage to lk tatsu hp srk finish in the corner, however, the former leaves Akuma with more frame advantage.
