Me going against my word, and playing Vega yet again in a tournament. The second vid is me trying to play Sim, but then realizing that I suck since I’ve only played him for about a day. Anywho, enjoy!

Great matches, good to see some vids of Vega vs good players. You planning on switching to Sim as your main?
Possibly. I thought about it, and the characters who fit my play-style are Sim, Bison, Chun, and Blanka. So, if not Sim, one of the other 3. I really need to get the console version soon, especially for the switch.
Why have you decided to switch mains, Bebop?
To be blunt, Vega sucks.
-He has too many lopsided match-ups
-He loses his equipment under dumb stipulations which in turn cause him to bear dumb effects (major drop in health/mask, drop in punch attacks/claw)
-His anti-air game is lousy
-He has no specials with armor or start up invincibility
-His super will/should never land on anyone (trust me, everyone has an option to escape it; EVERYONE)
-His ultra does shit damage + it can’t be combo’d into outside of a FA + he has to get to the wall before the ultra is activated + it can be backdashed/shoryu’d/psycho crusher’d/etc
-He has some dumb glitch that prevents him from getting to the wall during walldives, thus preventing him from completing combo’s or leaving him completely open for counter attacks
-Crouching strong and standing roundhouse, his to best pokes, can be reversal’d on reaction (I’ve seen it happen and actually had it happen to me… damn you ed ma!)
-His links are mostly 1 frame
-He deals crumy damage due to the fact that most of it is scored through pokes, which tend to put you at risk, even if you have a solid footsy game.
Um, and I guess that’s pretty much it. You just have to work too hard. It’s kinda not worth it. I’m more interested now in doing well in tournaments (SBO quals + Devastation + Evo) And against people like Edma, Combofiend, Gootecks, Ken I, Kai, Valle, Mike Ross, Jwong, Somuchdamage, Sanchez, etc I don’t really see Vega being a viable choice. But I guess that’s just me. I’m not here to discourage anyone from playing him, I mean, he’s fun as hell, but he just doesn’t suit my needs at the moment.
Pick Chun or Sim, but please, do not betray us with Blanka! 
Yeah, well that’s all true I suppose. Is Tatsu still sticking to Vega? He’s a beast with Vega, even if he is really crippled. I think you’ve helped the Vega community a ton so far. I think I’m going to keep trying with him because I can’t really find any other characters I like as much. I still do okay in my local scene and I’m the only Vega main’er. Do you think there’s any chance of anyone getting really far at the big tournaments with Vega any time soon?
Tatsu has proven that he can hang with the big boys, even at tournament level. I’d say if there’s anyone to keep an eye on, it’s him. sniffle My prodigy… I’m so proud! manly tears
I’m switching to Sim for sure. Iyo is just too fucking sick for me to not be inspired, haha.
do you have a 360 or ps3? when you do get console version id like to get a few games and get some input from you.
i also have pretty much given up on vega for the same reasons, im playing as seth now almost 100% of the time i cant help it. hes just so much fun to play as, he has the nicest looking combos in the game and a bunch of brutal set ups and mixups, the best combos for stun. plus playing as a character who has 750 health keeps me on my A game.
funny story originally i wanted to try and main sim but then i saw some videos of sabins seth and said fuck sim.
^^^ I’m having a tough time deciding. Xbox definitely has more comp, but PS3 is what they’re using at Evo… Hmm… I’ll prolly just get an Xbox cuz more of my friends have it. I’ll make sure to add all of you once I get my console. :bgrin:

im at like 2.8k ive been mainly player matching with seth the past 2 weeks getting used to him, im going to unleash some hell with him tonight though so hopefully my gp wont be so pathetic by the end of the night, ive done 2 tournies with seth i won one half drunk, the other i made it to the finals completely drunk
