Anyway here are 2 teambattles were i needed to play in paris last weekend.
Unfortunatly none of my single battles were on stream.
Doesnt show me in the best light i guess, since i totally suck against honda.
The other matches are against an easy hawk and losing to a good rufus.
From viewing back footage, i just need to be more on the offense against honda, i respect the headbutt way too much and then still get hit by it!! hahaha Will need to adjust this since the last 3 out of 4 tournaments i have been too, i have lost against a honda player in tournament matches.
Against rufus i think i did well, but i forgot the “dont tech” rule once too often

Jesus christ the Rufus matchup pisses me off and this is a good example why. You outplayed him for almost entirely the first round but he got an ex messiah and took it from there. Then on the last round he pressured you the whole time. I’m not denying that Andreas is good but fuck.
This is precisely why Vega needs some kind of “get off me” move.
So games don’t end after you get knocked down.
EVERY cast member in the game has some kind of reversal move that gives them invulnerability frames. Some respect =/= no respect on wake-up.
Right, even Rose’s shitty ass reversal is useful sometimes.
Congrats to Chris King and and German Luger for placing top 32 at NCR 11 with Claw. I was one away from top 32 myself, but I lost to Infiltration’s Akuma and Heyzeus’ Adon. I don’t think I did too bad against Infiltration ovcerall, but I did make some basic mistakes against him that I will not make again. It was really nerve-wracking playing against him on the big stage. My match with him starts around 9:05:00 in. Chris King vs. Chi-Rithy and German Luger vs. Alex Valle should be in there as well before my match in top 48. Day 1 stream also has Hotrod’s Claw play in there as well.

I remember fighting valle at canadacup, he gave me many lessons in those fights without speaking a word, awesome player.
Hey chris, good matches especially the xian one. Remember to punish ryu’s sweep on block with slide except when he does it very close to you. It’s a guaranteed punish from any range plus cancelled ex.fba from c.mp is likely to whiff on crouching ryu. In the balrog match you could react and grab some of his dash and turn punches, he was getting really predictable with them especially in the last round where he obviously wanted to cheap you with super.

I always try to use cr.mp after I block a sweep from Ryu. It’s a bad habit, but I want that cr.mp xx EX FBA combo so badly. But like you said, it may or may whiff, so I might as well get the knock down from sweep. I use sweep against turnaround punch more than grab. It works a lot better from my experience.
