Matador Video Thread

Yes, ざまさん is Yamasan. Also easily recognizable because of the weird color he uses.

Hey, at the end did you see Yun do his EX lunge punch thing, and Claw woke up into the middle of it with EX.ST and it traded. Hell, I’ll take that trade over having to block the mixup any day!

I like his traditional rushdown Vega play style, he’s like the only one who always tries to go for the 2 cr.mk counter-hit into EX FBA a lot.

Good match for brokkenG but a really bad one for the blanka in regard with his pp.He fell for the overhead 5 times on wakeup and was tottaly outfootsied. As for the ultra i guess he mistimed it as he was probably going for it to be a crossup.

Well everybody have there good and bad days.

This is after-pool’s footage of a tourney in my local scene. My execution is lacking a bit as i am more used with TV’s timings rather than screen’s

Yamasan in a-cho again…from 35:00 on…check out his awesome resets and corner pressure…also at 43:50 what the hell happened with abel’s ultra? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-4N1WY9wtY

He either misread what Vega was going to do or he wasn’t aware that FBA has ridiculous recovery so he canceled it.

sigh

Thanks Rabbi…I did’nt know Abel could cancel his ultra I thought it was some kind of weird one in a million time glitch…m

Really smart mix-up on your part at 59:00 and onwards to make him guess on the throw and throw out a well space CH instead

wanted to try something new but… ahh… so tired… sore thumbs… will talk about on friday and then move on… too much coffee… 12 hours…
[edit] this is easier and more useful if you do cr.MK into LP.RCF with the ST OS after where you cancel into the RCF

"One kick to the face in exchange for getting out of Bison’s face? Sure, I’ll take it!"
Haha, interesting, also, so much mileage out of dash-in cr.MK O_o

Why does forward dash looks so godlike when brokken G use it?..he doesn’t get punish for it…and dashing after a conected cmk and still trade or win with the next cmk…i didn’t know recovery of cmk was that good…Thanks Overhead Greg for all the great videos

A (good) player’s natural reactions to someone coming close is to move back, so it seems it’s a good way to get a nice cr.mk in. Alex Valle’d that shit XD

BrokkenG is like the most rushdown claw player out there othan than Makoto rush Kara throw gamestyle this guy uses cr.mk to the fullest!

Cool set up meteo. never thought of using EX ST… I bet you could use EX FBA, or even ultra against some characters.

Actually EX.FBA and U1 don’t work well at all because the startup takes way too long (and also holding up for part of the command causes lots of accidental jumping if you aren’t perfect. U2 works fantastic though.

It works much much better if you intend on doing cr.MK into LP.RCF as part of the OS. If you fuck up the timing in my video above, the EX.ST sometimes cancels out of the cr.MK and you’ll be punished severely. BUT if you attack with cr.MK into LP.RCF and then also press KK for the EX.ST, the EX.ST will only come out when the LP.RCF doesn’t activate (because of the cr.MK wiffing) - the input timing becomes more lenient. From point blank, the OS catches tons of backdashes - even with just HK.ST - and I think if the cr.MK is meaty enough, the RCF is quick enough to beat out Abel’s armored punch.

At BEST, any 10 frame reversal catches the cr.MK before you can block though (why I showed Seth’s ultra) - so If concerned with that, cr.LP works too, although I think it’s only got a better recover of 1 frame (again, might add more lenience to catching backdashes)

:frowning: I was getting my ass beat last night by a Fei, its a hard match-up to me.
