Just so it can hit as late as possible. It’s a stupid habit I picked up from playing ST, tbh. Also, It’s been a year since I’ve “mained” Vega, so I’m just kinda pressing buttons and finding what works XD
I appreciate that a lot I’ll be on Windy City Wednesday this week. So keep an eye out for me, I’ll try my best to rep our boy Vega.
WeirdoNeo vs Tatsu EVO2k11 Quarter Final Pools
My question is, is this the same Neo who eliminated Tatsu last year?
Yup
Nice find! thx
Sick FBA cross up off of airthrow!
Tatsu jumps so much on Feilong, Safe Jump he used on EX flame kick is useless

damn that missing FBA in the second round - there was a perfect in the air
I’ve tried doing that combo (cr.mk cr.mk cr.mp) and that shit is pretty hard lol. What is that? 1 frame between both mk?
Can’t do it unless counter hit.
And it is a beautiful frametrap in its own, even without the counter hit.
Oh ok I thought you could. Didn’t notice that it said counter hit on the screen.
Pretty insane match, I like how aggressive he played Vega. He uses CR.mk a lot, which is good I feel like I’m still stuck in Super at times using CR.MP when I have a better poke, that and I think a lot of people don’t know the strength of our cr.MK so I definitely want to incorporate that.
literally a half hour after I watched this video I went to play some ranked matches and got like two counter cmk cmk cmp xx exfba combos in one match
thanks internet!
Since you all enjoyed that, Tokido also plays that Vega player again right at the end of his live stream.
The key to getting CH cr.MK, cr.MK, cr.MP is to not go for it when the opponent is standing, as that will result in a normal hit.
Most good normals in the game that a character could use against you in a closer ranged footsie situation like that (and that you could possibly get a counter hit on) are crouching pokes mainly. I know it’s also possible to just stand, then do a crouching normal, but no player will be inclined to do that at a close range like that. That’s not the kind of footsie range where you walk back and forth, trying to whiffpunish the opponents’ pokes (that would be too far for the combo to connect anyway); it’s the range where people are already defending in crouch position and just throwing out a couple of normals here and there to get you off of them.
If you’re at max range, it’s naturally better to just cr.MP, then late-cancel into EX FBA. Or do nothing.
You should basically use this in frame traps (st.LK, cr.MK or cr.LP, cr.MK) or after dash-ins.
If it gets blocked you’ll get a solid frame trap. The opponent might be able to squeeze a 3F move in between the cr.MKs though (4F moves are possible too on paper, but that’s unrealistic as the timing is probably retardedly difficult).
That was beautiful.
THIS is beutiful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eliQR86w5rM
Actually, this is VEGA!
That mirror match at 8:10 was sick.
