volcan is very very open with this stuff but I don’t blame him. thing is, people think it wouldn’t affect the world in a self destructive way if we all knew the truth. and its worse because what really is the truth? yeah there are other beings lurking around but are they harmful? the could seem super benevolent but that could cause us to degenrate or generate in another direction. us knowing just us gives us the opportunity to rule our own lives.
this stuff is so complex that tesla and einstein and an alien could all merge and create a super brain and that super brain wont be enough to make the right choices for us, because the right choices is the practice of free will, this neural connection of 7 billion + brains have the right to create our own future, or at least the belief of the common understanding of autonomy.
anyway, even though I would like it all to be cleared up I would also like humans to not create more problems for ourselves. mass effect is a romantic idea of galactic cooperation. star trek is a dreamy human cradled version of it. people are here on earth losing themselves to drugs and addictions, we can’t handle the reality of it all
