Masonic Symbols in movies/videogames (including SF4/SSF4)

spooky music

you talk as if everything around you are only potentials and innocent till proven, people have no idea how much psychology goes into a common TV show. im not a consipracy theorist myself I need physical proof before I consider anything, but to completely shrug off the possibility of these things just shows lack of understanding of the power of the things around you and it’s effect on the sleeping conciousness.

and I wouldnt waste my breath debating such things, best to understand the world as best as you can instead of taking part in pointless discussion about things you can’t wrap your head around let alone debating about it in the most rediculously loose manner with people who are settled and callus via popular methodical attachments to common ground.

don’t waste your time you bloody fools, if this world is lying to you then broaden your mind and stop crying

I’m glad you joined us Jason :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll take this opportunity to apologize, since I confused your post with Digital’s. I should have said “the problem with his reasoning,” instead of the problem with yours, etc.

However, you still seem to misunderstand the reason for my posts, so I will clarify.

No, I accused him of expressing anti-American sentiment, because he was. The entire basis for the plausibility of the 9/11 conspiracy theory he was talking about was America is Bad. I called him biased, because that was the tone of his post.

That’s not what I’m saying at all.

Firstly, I would point out the difference between being anti-American, and espousing an anti-American point of view, or having an anti-American bias. Those are very different things.

The Japanese guys in the trenches in Okinawa during WWII were anti-American. The guys who hijacked the planes on 9/11 were anti-American;

Random American college students have anti-American sentiments. These are very different ideas. People here who have suffered publicly-accepted discrimination (either historically or personally) may have an anti-American bias.

Very different ideas.

You are assuming that I am ignoring that history of this country, and that is something I don’t understand. What has led you to this conclusion?

The act of bringing up acts of war or even outright persecution is of no value or relevance to accusations of completely different different people/organizations/administrations/eras, especially when those acts are unrelated to one another; the attempt here is the characterize America as one would a person: this person has done bad things in the past, therefore if he is accused of something in the future (with no regard as to whom the accuser is) we should suspect that they are guilty. This is somewhat poor reasoning on it’s own as it relates to individuals, though understandable. It falls apart more or less completely in this situation.

As an aside:

With regards to the less-than-spectacular moments of America’s history: I don’t ignore them. But I don’t pretend that they are especially unique. There is an almost American Exceptionalist sort of idea that many people have, particularly obnoxious Americans (or perhaps I just find it particularly obnoxious coming from them), that we are the worst country in the world, if not the worst country that has ever existed. Ironically I think, at least domestically, it is partially being ignorant of international history. With regards to the “bad” our country has done or participated in, it of course does not cancel out the good, and moreover I don’t see the bad as being particularly unique, with very few exceptions.

In the first place it’s something like swatting at flies- these conversations annoy me and I want them to go away.

Secondly, part of me actually finds the spreading of misinformation to be morally objectionable, particularly given the alarmist nature of these sorts of allegations. So for these sorts of threads to exist without someone popping in and pointing out the flaws in, say, the absurd video in the first post, would actually be some sort of moral failing.

With either of these things in mind, me not posting in these sorts of threads would not suspend my irritation with them.

You are, of course, correct- I don’t have to post in these threads. But I feel like someone needs to, and I happened to have some/too much free time recently.

Do you think Bunkei represents the Illuminati?

-He posted a thread about the subject, including a video full of occult symbols;
-The thread has since become very large and has spurred on mention of the group for several pages;
-He mentioned himself that his “friend” had been approached to join a secret society;

He seems to be promoting the existence of the group without actually saying as much. So do you believe this is deliberate? Why, or why not?

You’re making it hard for me to enjoy the thread :rofl:

Haha no way dude he is the best thing about this topic.

this is how my brain interpreted that

real talk…

I KEEL YOU!!!

send those troops to get my Illuminati paper

i’m sorry son, could you speak up?

what’s wrong kind of hard to hear me from Level1?

sure thang! sweet thang! :bgrin:

Please stop mashing.

I have my eye on you.

TS, your last paragraph is a perfect way to explain the irrational way of approaching the subject, yet a way that so many do. When i say this is a hobby for me, i mean the symbology aspect of it, not the politics of the world. I am just interested in the first two words of the thread. When i say in page 2 (i think) about occult symbology, i am pretty sure it sounds as though I am a religious wingnut, which i am not. To me Christianity is the same as Satanism, merely two sides of a coin. I totally get what you were saying, but got wrapped up in the politics of it all which is wrong to do. I get tired of ppl. who put flags on their cars, buy yellow ribbons and give me funny looks because i choose to not do that. You are not one of those ppl. so i apologize. I just wish that others who post in topics like this actually had something to say, and not just be cheerleaders for others. It really devolves what could be a good discussion.

There are 2 reasons i don’t comment on these types of discussions.

1.) they are a dime a dozen
2.) By the time i get around to reading everything that everyone has posted there has been someone who more or less sums up what i have to say so i quote them and say “this”. I may only be 24 but i feel i’ve already wasted too much time repeating myself over and over again.

I have never even been in the general discussion thread, i just saw the words masonic symbols and checked it out. I typically only post in my regional thread, right up the road from you in Jax. What system do you play sf on?

Why not? What is wrong with posting a video and asking for opinion? It’s done all the time. You accuse me of not offering any information, when your first reply is:

psn :slight_smile: hit me up i main bison but play everyone "meh"ly haha.
