At least they got the balls to propose a TV universe. Supergirl might not be our cup of tea but they want to diversify their audience and that’s important. And Legends of Tomorrow is an ambitious project, it could be awesome. And what about Vixen?

Uh, the basis for the plot is that zod is coming, and theyre amping up their plans for his arrival, but supergirl who is the niece of their leader (whom the leader doesnt obviously want to kill) and the DOE are a thorn in their ass. Its pretty straight forward and understandable if you arent retarded.
It has femnist quips here and there, but its not really overwhelming unless you get triggered worse than sjw’s because a girl says, “would you say that if i was a guy”,. Martian manhunter has corrected kara and her sister both on saying that dumb feminist shit when it didnt apply. Let’s face, Supergirl’s concept is silly enough (yay! a blonde next door with the powers of Superman wearing a schoolgirl uniform, great superheroine!) that it works better for non-too-serious tumblr audience and regular girls.
Supergirl would play better if they took away the costumes and put them all back in high school where the shitty dialogue, terrible acting, and constant undercurrent of catty Shit would play perfectly.
It’s a bad drama more akin to desperate housewives than supergirl.
Considering the network, nobody can be surprised. I’m not sure they know how to write anything else.
It’s aimed to the Desperate Housewives audience, and it’s doing great with that.
I can’t think of who they would use as a villain, unless they continue the storyline with where she got her powers (the same people behind Nuke), or bring out Owlsley’s kid.
