Marvel's Netflix Universe: Return of the Kingpin

If you didn’t hate Trish before…

Trish blows…no she really does.

Jessica Jones season 2 was really good imo, I liked how it explored a side of Jessica we haven’t really seen much of.
Moments that stood out to me:

-A lot of morale ambiguity in various situations, I felt like there were moments with no real right or wrong answer.
-Pretty much all the awkward moments when she see’s her mother again after thinking she was dead
-I absolutely LOVED the part where Jessica started seeing Killgrave again after killing that one dude
-The ending, it was beautifully tragic but at the same time, felt very forced just to create drama in season 3

You need Jesus.

Top Tier: The Punisher, Daredevil Season 1, Jessica Jones Season 1, The Defenders, Daredevil Season 2

Mid Tier: Iron Fist, Luke Cage

Low Tier: Jessica Jones Season 2

This season was absolutely pitiful. Trish was ANNOYING and cringeworthy all the way, stupid, STUPID drama and the lack of a good villain like Purpleman showed.

Damn my OCD as I would call this a waste of my life watching this shit of a season.

Skip JJ Season 2 if you haven’t. Not missing anything, for real.

Iron Fist is the worst by far, it’s not even close man and I think JJ Season 2 is the next worst of the Netflix shows.

It just goes to show that without a good villain, none of the Netflix shows are particularly good.

Iron Fist is not better than JJ season 2. That’s show was a chore to sit through.

JJ was a chore.

Iron Fist had bad choreographed fight scenes, an incredibly nerfed Iron Fist and the memed “I am the Iron Fist” but it had its moments with The Hand and Colleen Wing. The underground fights, Madame and the rest were good enough to make it passable. I enjoyed most of it except the fights because seeing Danny so nerfed was too painful.

JJ Season 2 has Trish and her mom. LOL!, GTFOH script writers. Bad, bad drama. When a show/game actually puts me to sleep, you know is TERRIBLE.

JJ Season 2 was a chore.

Iron Fist was outright insulting.

You guys can choose which is worse for a show.

It wasn’t worthy of Iron Fist for sure.

Although he improved some in Defenders but still far away from his comics self, which is what most fans were expecting.

Iron Fist is a martial arts centered hero and the show had the worst choreography of all the Netflix shows. How do you not get the a competent team for the one hero that needed it the most. Plus they spent the first third of the season on the “is he really Danny Rand” story that should have been wrapped up in episode 1. That show was atrocious. Just bad all around.

I enjoyed JJ season 2. I don’t think it’s terrible at all.

Iron Fist chose to focus on the least interesting aspects of the character. Anything relating to Kun Lun is where most of the interest is at. What we got was some corporate politics bullshit, and a guy with some serious daddy issues. Not what I want to see from Iron Fist

Yeah, the reality is IF focused less on Iron Fist and more on Danny Rand. Even in the comics, Danny Rand sucks, and all they did was do it rather true to the comics, flaws and all.

Hopin’ they pull back on the focus on Danny for S2.

I honestly dont think they can, the character, the actor, both story arcs, are all so fucking blatant as dog shit terrible, i dont see a way back. Sure they can reign in the terrible so much, but it will never be good. Same tier as JJ, JJ will always be irredeemable trailer trash, but at least she had Tenant. Kilgrave is so fucking OP, and portrayed so good he would outshine even in Punisher or DD standalone, so lets not go there, Rand has absolutely nothing but a bit of tasty yellow fever.

The layup, story and execution of Iron Fist was so bad it belongs firmly in CW land, and the kicker is, instead of dragging up the character in the Defenders, they brought down Luke and DD to the dogshit matt like that was going to balance it out.

To counter your hopes Cynt, I dont think they can get Rand up to standard in S2, but maybe, just maybe they can give him enough non moppy time, to give him enough back story of kicking random ninja Hand ass, enough thinking about his power without flashbacks or any of that, that we can get a real season of him just bieng badass enough that we can forget S1 Rand, and maybe dare to hope, in S3 we can see this character become the true IF in S3. We need a full season of fucking training montage 80s style to save this.

The main villain is a random guy who punches Luke in the face and manages to hurt him? Ok.

ALREADY 100% better than JJ Season 2!!

Though who in the hell is Bushmaster…and please Marvel, let this open the door for us to get Brother Voodoo!!
