Vincent D’Onofrio stole this season outright, he actually felt like the main character and the show goes out of the way to show the build up of the Kingpin more than DD lol, although it is pretty cool they left out his formative years.
Also damn the guy killed the part, he might not be a chubby as one would expect but he defo looks the part, and indeed does brutally fuck people up like you would expect he would.
Apart from him felt the show was alright, probably cause I binged it I felt parts were too long like they beating a dead horse with the shit between Page and Ulrich, show coulda worked as 2 tv movies with some good editing. That said good times, looking forward to s2.
This is one of the best superheroes shows on TV. After seeing this it gonna be hard to watch Arrow again. Arrow is a Disney channel sitcom compared to this show. Can’t wait for Jessica Jones later in the year.
I put DD over the Flash. I prefer street level heroes and the show doesn’t have the CW-level drama to drag it down. Action also shits on those two shows.
Foggy talked a solid hour of shit common man. Also am thinking they will improve the fight choreography in the next season, dunno if Ive watched too many MA movies but DD was pissing me off with some of that wasted movement. His fight vs Stick was great but then his fight vs Nobu was shit. Fisk didnt skip a beat though he just wrecked shit so am hoping S2 will see him return to Stick and upgrade his skills now hes got the suit. Also from a cinematic perspective the show was too damn dark, I get it takes place at night but fuck man wheres the colour?
Flash action is just amazing cause limitless possibilities, its kinda apples n oranges to compare but DD gonna need to put in some work.
If you want color than DD is the wrong place to look for it. DD always had dark muddy colors with a somewhat crude style to fit the grim dark nature of the series.
Lol thats what I said apples n oranges, shit I enjoy both shows but if you add up their pros/cons the balance for me is Flash is the better made show. Yall niggas tripping with that fresh DD sugar rush in your veins.

Haven’t got as far as some of you guys, but so far, this show seems to just show how extremely badass the Kingpin is. If anything, that’s probably the highlight of the show so far. Daredevil’s fighting style is also pretty amazing. The way he just musters up enough energy for one more strike, amazes me every fucking time. Like one second he’s leaning against a wall for support after taking out 4 guys, then he’s tossing out a few haymakers, then BAM flip kick to land on a dude’s face.
I haven’t seen much with that old asian lady, but got damn, she seems to be the only other bad guy who would strike fear in people (with that fucked up blind coke shipping place, and the respect she gets from Kingpin).
They casually mention “stuff from the skies over hells kitchen”, in the first episode, but never actually mention aliens, tony stark, thor, hulk, etc. At least not as far as I’ve watched. Dunno how some of you are like done the whole thing already…don’t you have jobs or the need to eat food? Got damn, I think RockB lives off of chicken bones and Marvel copyrighted material and semi-decent gif’s.
Its the weekend Sov… the invasion gets mentioned through allusion only, and Wesley mentions a few heroes via, “swinging hammers or shields” etc. Matt mentions Electra through some Greek chick he hooked up with at college. Stuff like that.
I rewatched a couple of the episodes. Mainly the hallway fight, Stick episode and Kingpin’s origin episode. I honestly put DD above those two shows. DD put a lot of focus on the side characters, cleverly used the continuity it’s set in establish Hell’s Kitchen as a shithole, masterfully developed it’s lead villain as someone who is can be easily relate to and possibly can be someone you can root for.
Early on it’s established that attack on New York is the reason behind the reconstruction of Hell’s Kitchen. It’s also use as the reason as for why the city as reverted back to being the hellhole it once was. I believe it was in episode two or three where Owlsley said that people focusing on heroes is why low-level crime is being ignored and lead to their quick rise to power.
How many years passed since DD and the invasion then? I didnt pick that up. It seems that Kingpin showed up 18 months ago, short amount of time for the amount of shit he got done.
I believe only a year or two since the incident, i think it was made mentioned that Matt and Foggy graduated before it happened when they were still interning.
