Get used to people not replying to your posts because you’re using the wrong notation for the wrong crowd.

When someone see “2”, they don’t automatically think down.
I find it rather inconvenient to have to actually look at my numpad to decipher shit as well. Read+decipher is more effort than just reading. IMO.
I hate the numeral system simply because I’m on a laptop and I don’t have the ability to always look at a keypad to figure out what 236A/B/C is. You don’t need to ask me twice what QCB A/B/C is on the other hand.
Even though the developers don’t “officially” use the terminology, there would be so much less confusion if people just said s.A or sj.C, considering there are no more punch and kick buttons.
I suggest we end this litttle discussion before preps comes here.

Veteran players can understand both, but this game will be bringing in a new crowd, and alphabetical notation is much less intimidating than numerical. You are welcome to do as you like of course, but I know plenty of people who will see the numbers and get scared away from reading things.
Guys it’s just preference. Besides it’s not really hard to learn anyway. Doesn’t matter if 5a or st.a. Get used to it. All the TvC guys and MvC2 people are migrating into one game so it’s hard to get a common notation going on.

Going back to Magneto, try out one of his simple combos in cr.A -> cr.B -> cr.C xx EM Disruptor xx Magnetic Shockwaves. How much damage does this do on average? The reason I ask this is because it seemed to do a hell of a lot of damage to Trish in Magneto’s trailer, but I want to see how much it would take off against someone with average stamina, and also not close to death.
You…don’t need to look at a numpad to decipher anything. You should know what a numpad looks like in layout. If you don’t…well you haven’t used a computer enough I guess. Most of the time you don’t even need to remember 7 9 and 5.

To clear things up I used his assist as AA and not on point, yes it holds and knocks them away. I was deadpool and spammed guns like cable and used dante AA when they jumped at me. they either blocked it or got hit either way it did it’s job as AA and put them right back into guns.
Case in point. It does not act as CC

Jam Session is more an anti air and a combo extender than a CapCom assist. Ryu’s DP is more of a Capcom assist than Dantes for example. (Please get what I mean instead of flaming me)
And as far as notation, just use lower case for motions and upper case for letters if ur gunna use ABC notation.

Like that. Or, just use LMH notation. No need for numbers, cuz most of the people checking the MvC3 forum @ Shoryuken.com don’t necessarily know BlazBlue notation.

But seriously, @BlueLightning and Kanta-Kun, if you tried to confirm the following I think it’d please people.
- Can storm and mag cancel superjumped normals into airdash into normals?
- Which of Storm and Mag’s grounded moves superjump-cancel on hit and/or block?
- Do their flymodes have invincibility frames on startup? And how fast are their unflys?
- what do Storm and Mag’s jumping Low attacks look like?
These questions are honestly probably the -most- key for Magneto and Storm players to know the answers to, as the toolsets mentioned above determine a large cross-section of their offensive and defensive options. Magneto and Storm will live or die on their mobility and pokes, so us mvc2 and xvsf heads would -really- appreciate information about this.
