Yes, I am using the RocketFish and you can shoot at 1280x720. I don’t know if you play on composite or components.
If you are using composite. I suggest you buy this capture card

(Avermedia MEZUSBGDR DVD EZMaker USB Gold Video Capture - USB 2.0, MPEG Encoder, DVD Creator, Editing Software, Vista Ready)
If you buy that. You’ll need an extra composite cable Yellow, White, Red on both end and couple of RCA Cable Splitters (3 of them).

(3 of those).
They are really cheap and you can buy them at Radio Shack or any electronic shop. I bought 3 for 1.99 each or 2.99.
Overall, the total cost was about 60 bucks…That includes the capture device + additional plugs and what not.
If you want HD and what not. You’re looking at 150+ and a good computer.
Here’s the quality of my composite capture card

vs my Roxio Game Capture

Not much of a difference except less scan lines.
The Aver Media Capture (That I Linked) comes with an editing program called Power Director and it’s really good.
Overall, I enjoy both capture card. I use my AverMedia Capture to record DC actions.
Need to buy a new composite too. My dog ripped it apart.
Questions? Post away and I’ll post a layout or picture step by step on how to set it up.
