everyones doom is bad for the most part, which is a shame because hes a really solid pint character. not enough people play him as such.

lol ggs dude! the trick is to not try to escape. it sounds wrong, but when you try to escape via guard canceling etc. that’s when the real damage goes down!

EDIT: he waxed me haha, something like 5-2 before I stopped, there was really bad lag in the later matches, shit like storm tridashes at me, doesnt attack, I psimitar, it hits her, then im launched into LAxxLS.

Hit mid-air unfly combos twice tonight. feeling my sent getting better, just need to do the same with my mags/storm then I can play MSS like the PRAOS! :nunchuck:

Even if you know the right spot to pushblock, it’s really hard to be precise about it, since most Strider players have at least 3-5 trap patterns that are all different but look similar, and most of the time you’ll be a bit off on the pushblock so that you end up pushing in the wrong spot. And if the Strider player knows where you’re trying to escape, he can always change up the trap to stop it.

if you crouch and pushblock him when he warps, that might work, but he can start using kick teleports so that he’ll appear on the ground right next to you.

Another issue with attempting to Guard cancel strider is that you have to go to neutral to jump out or whatever else you were trying to do. that means it’s a lot easier for him to hit you low or warp and mix you up.

Cable AA is viable cuz it sends strider and doom flying up in the air if it connects, but it is difficult to follow up with ahvb afterwards (Cable has to AHVB Doom assist very quickly before Strider gets enough height to double jump/ excalibur over the beam). Personally I feel Psy/Cyke are the best assists, since they eat up Doom, allow you to maintain pressure on Strider, and you can alpha counter psybladeXX butterflies dhc to hailstorm or gene splice XX mega optic blast dhc to HSF etc.

I deadass mash to get out of strider/doom bullshit. I pushblock, mash assist, let my assist get hit and hit the skies after that. Or mash superjump like telly and alpha counter for a gtfo moment.
