Marvel Vs Capcom 2 Dreamcast emulator screenshot

ram? video card?

well its not worth the effort to look for a bios to get it running.

So all you need is the emu and the bios right? Im not asking where to get it or anything because I just got all 3 versions of the emu and I managed to snag the bios from the person who posted a link to it (dont worry I wont say who it was… and thnx for saving countless hours of searching).

I just want to make sure if thats all thats needed because im experiencing that sse error. So to those who got it to work are your cpu’s pentiums? Other than all that it sounds very promising and im really looking forward to a more complete version.

I get up to 69 fps on my P4 3.2 ghz with MvC2, it’s like playing Turbo 3 when turbo 1 is on lol. Can’t do supers and shit on the KB, doesn’t like when you hit two buttons at once, I guess it’ll be fixed in time.

Matt

Solid 60+fps on mvc2

p4 2.8 800mhz fsb
512 ddr3200
radeon 9800pro

yay! 70+ fps from disc

if i use the daemon tool thingy, can i get better performance?

my spec

p4 3.0 800mhz fsb
1gig DDR RAM
Nvidia FX5700 256Mb

how do you guys make bootable DC games? coz my 3s is not bootable :bluu:

can any1 get a psx controller to work with this?

You mean the old radio shack usb ps2 controller adaptors don’t work with this? They work with EVERY other emulator…what were the developers thinking?

Yes, I got my PSX controller and X-arcade to work with it. Remember kiddies it’s an ALPHA version.

I can’t even get the games to start… I put in headhunter (which is bootable) and it give me this nex error… IN the dreamcast emulation. not a windows error… Don’t know how to explain it. I should atleast get the games to start working and they should go slow.

Specs:

1.6 Ghz
256 ddr ram
Geforce 2 MMX :frowning:

Ok, I’ve got an Athlon Xp 2600+ 256mb DDR RAM, 64mb video, and this thing won’t even run at all. I seem to be getting the error that people mentioned before. Here’s a screenshot of what happens when I try to click Init:

i can’t get standard psx controller to work, only the dualshock one

weird huh?

DarkGiygas : how come you have a nero image file inside the directory? u trying to run the game in .nrg format issit?

Well I had the image mounted with Daemon tools, also had the actual CD in the drive, just to test both of them. Unfortunately the thing won’t run at all. I’ve tried just about everything to get this to work.

Here’s my comp (Purchased in August 2003):

256 MB of RAM
GeForce2 Graphic Card
1.9 GHz CPU
CDR Drive
DVD-ROM drive

Controller:

Saitek P880 Dual Analog Controller

And is the speed of the CD/DVD-ROM drive matters too…?

I’m pretty sure someone mentioned in this thread that gd-roms themselves aren’t able to run yet with this early version of chanka. We’ll have to wait and see.

wtf? You got ripped off my comps from 01 and its as strong as yours! Btw you can only use the sticks for saitek this shit happened to me when i wanted to play svc for kawaks.

You’re encountering the same problems I’ve been having all day yesterday. Since 9am-5am (yes, I was determined to get mine working, but I also took breaks) After hours of searching, and reading, and fooling around I have found out a couple of things.

1)First it was thought that you NEEDED a raedon or geforce video card.
~false, I’ve read that people have been able to run thier Chankast on standard vc’s without a problem so it couldn’t be that

  1. Changing your settings and/or compatibility.
~true, people have reported after configuring their settings for their vc’s and etc… have been able to run the bios, also by testing the compatibility with windows compatibility wizards some reported that they went from the, problem encountered with the .exe , sorry for th… to booting up the bios, getting the blue swirl, getting as far as the time/date, and actually playing a game.

  2. Bios/Flash and dumps.
~true, I’ll mention no names or information on how to obtain these, but can explain in little detail about how these work (sort of) I had this cough friend who was getting instant messages all day on AIM about bios/flash and info like that. A lot of peoples have different type of hardware installed on their pc’s for one. Sometimes one set of bios/flash didn’t work, so they got a hold of someone else’s and used it and it worked. Doing some more work, there is a ‘dump’ file that you can use and when my friend used it who was having that problem you and I were, got it booted for a bit, then it crashed.

What’s my point? That even if you have the requirements, or even more that requested your pc is not garaunteed to run the ALPHA program. It’s an ALPHA so don’t worry too much about it. There will be releases that will fix many of these problems. In the meantime, e-mail the authors so that when they release an update, some problems will be fixed.

I’m still a bit tired, but if I’m not making sense, do your own damn research.

One more things, update your drivers for your video cards.

How many USB ports/plugs do you have on your PC? If I were you, I would connect that controller to different plug to see if the D-Pad can be easily accessible and playable for your emulator. It works for me (So that I don’t have to go through the configuration mess and PC lock-up all the time). Oh, and don’t forget to turn on/off the “digital/analog” button (just to see what kind of an effect it had on the D-Pad and the game you turn on from your emulator).

Here is a link to some mvc2 pics, the game looks real good. But for some reason when ever i push up the game gets into wireframe mode, weird. http://free.hostultra.com/~ComboMasher/chanka-cable.htm
